Free Genealogy Family Tree
62Free Genealogy Family Tree
Free genealogy family tree, is often searched and found on this here thing we call the internet.
This is the second in my series in how to search for things online. The poor misunderstood search engine tries so hard to give you what you want. Fail again.
Genealogical reference materials are easy to come by, as are most things online. You simply need to know which search string is the best.
What you are probably really looking for is a BLANK family tree. Even if it is free, George Washington’s family tree is most likely not what you are looking for. Actually having a copy of George Washington’s family tree might be kind of neat. Excuse me a moment I need to go Google. Possibly even a blank printable family tree. Another thing to try, instead of searching for a website, hit the image button on your Google search page and you can see thumbnails of the family trees.
Of course most, but not all of the websites offering you free genealogy reports are going to offer you a free plain one but show you the fancy ones to try and get you to buy them. Go ahead buy them, and send me one ‘cause I’m too cheap to buy them for myself.
Family trees are also called pedigrees. If you do not care for the “family tree’s” that you see try searching for blank pedigree and see if any of those grabs you.
Now if you’re actually searching for something to put on a website, you might want to search for html + pedigree. Ignore the fact that most of them are for dogs and horses. Breeding’s breeding babe whichever kind of mammal you are.
Personally I like to make my own using Microsoft Excel, it’s not hard so long as you start at the end and work your way back to yourself…what? If you’re interested in that, just leave a comment and I’ll make another hub explaining what I mean.
Back to the subject of searching for the unfindable. You’ve got your pedigrees, your family trees, your html trees, oh let me see. How about kids family trees, or circle family trees, the possibilities are endless. If you were artistically inclined you could probably make a fortune selling these things.
Give me a call we’ll start a business, call it the Artist and the Fool.
If you’re a picture hound you might want to look for something that has space for photographs. That’s always a nice touch. Most people do not have pictures going back 4 generations though which is the standard for a pedigree.
If you obsessive compulsive make sure there are lines for details, and I REALLY hope there are not blank spots or we may be in for an episode.
You might notice I’m being a little less specific as to search terms this lesson, don’t want you to get spoiled and just wait for me to tell you what to search for.
Good luck in your quest for a free genealogy family tree.
