I have seen this annoying ad on many sites with the message "you are the 999,999th visitor to this site and you have won a free gift" or similar catchwords. These ads have been around since a long time. Actually it is this particular annoying ad that gave me an idea for this hub.
Frankly, I do not really know whether you are the millionth visitor on my hubs or not! My HubPages stats shows a little more than a million page views now. But then I will have to discount my own views which are included in the stats.
