I'm sure that everyone surfing around on the Internet has come across offers of free money making websites and the like as various affiliate and marketing programs will use the giveaway of a website as bait to rope prospects in.

The sad fact is that many of these offers are just that, "bait". There is almost always another offer, usually of the one time buy it now type, attached to them. There really is no such thing as free on or off the net where network marketing is concerned.

Still some of these bait offers may be worth parting with a little of your hard earned money as the site may have advanced programing that most people simply do not have the technical expertise to do for themselves. The best of the "free" sites will save the site owner countless hours of work and frustration as they offer the new website owner an easy point and click way of modifying and managing the site.

They will also often have a tremendous database included in the site so that thousands of Clickbank or other products can be sold off the site.

The big question, of course, is will the sites actually make money for you? Like most things in life on the Internet it depends. The site is really no good to you unless you can drive traffic to it. So one thing to be on the look out for is whether whoever is providing the site to you has a training and resources area in the site backoffice that will help you to know how to drive that traffic at reasonable cost.

While the site design work may be free chances are that the hosting and traffic generation aspects of the site will not be. So if you really expect that the site will make money you are going to have to put some time and effort, and probably some money, into traffic building.

So depending upon your circumstances the free site may be a real money maker or just a waste of time. In the end it's up to you to take responsibility for making it work.

My advice. Be honest with yourself. Do you have the time and a little extra money to pay for say PPC advertising? Are you willing to spend a few hours a week working to make the site better?

If so why not go for it? You just might end up with a winning website that really can change your financial life. If not forget it quick. To make money on the Internet, even with a highly automated operation takes work and a bit of patience. No matter what, even with the best of sites, you can't expect to see immediate results.
