Get a cool Apple iPod is a very exiting thing. Many iPod newbies can't wait to feed their iPod with full of favorite songs,movies and want to enjoy it immediately. But technically, we have some works to do before the iPod getting started.

Get new your iPod started

According to iPod user guide, to get started with iPod we have to do the following works:

  1. Go to www.apple.com/ipod/start ( you will be redirected to "http://www.apple.com/  itunes/download/?ipod" ) to download iTunes software (it's free).    
  2. Install iTunes on your computer.      
  3. Import your most favorite music, movies and TV shows etc. to  iTunes.      
  4. Sync  your iPod  and the iTunes.

Feed your high-capacity new iPod

There are different ways to feed your iPod.

  1. Buy from iTunes store: Music: 99¢ each. Movies: Rent from $2.99, buy from $9.99. Games: $4.99 each.
  2. Buy from music stores such like Napster and eMusic, their prices are similar to iTunes store.
  3. Search with Google for some legal free music. There are lots of artists and singers upload their own music onto internet for users to download free. Quite a few of the big name corporations give away free iTunes codes when you buy something. iTunes store has a few free songs, too.

Buying from music stores and pay for each songs for a new high-capacity iPod is too expensive. To Get free music, you have to spend much time on searching. Time is precious, too!

So there come some websites which provide information of free music downloads for iPod users. There are some websites collect free music for iPod users to download directly!

However, if you want to get your favorite special songs, you will have little chance to get them free.
