Oh my a RED DSLR. Pentax K-x
Oh my a RED DSLR. Pentax K-x

The Ulitmate Entry Level DSLR

Yeah... Yeah... I got you again.  Well I think I am in love with this new entry level release of Pentax.  the Pentax K-x is everything the Nikon D40x and Nikon D3000 is not.  Throw in the Canon 1000D and Canon 450D and the Peantx K-x still wins in all factors.  Of course, that's just my opinion.  But it is the only "entry-level" DSLR in the entire planet I know of that sports LIVE VIEW and HD Video.

Inheriting its primary design and functions from the relatively popular and successful Pentax K2000, the Pentax K-x now also been completely reconfigured to become a one-hand shooting DSLR.  Here's more... it can also capture images in HDR and Corss Process which no camera in its class except those in the higher end of the scale. Plus the fact that it has a maximum shutter speed of 1/6000.... well now it does make me wonder what Pentax is up to these days.  Burst shot is at 4.7 frames per second.  Body is made of industrial hard plastic on a stainless steel skeleton with a dimension of 122.5mm x 91.5mm x 67.5mm (4.8 x 3.6 x 2.7 in) and a weight 18.2 ounces.

Now my Dear reader, do you know of any camera in the 650USD dollar range that has all these amazing features?  It completely kick the hell out of Nikon, Sony and Canon.  This is how an entry level DSLR should be. And do you know that you can get it in RED, WHITE, BLUE and BLACK?  Now that's what I call thinking out of the box.

Thinking of wetting your toes in the DSLR world?  This is you best bet.  forget the Nikon D40x (it has been retired)... don't mind the D3000 and the Canon 450D or the 1000D.  This one is the most economical of all entry level DSLR's.  Oh yes.. with the right adaptor... you can also use Canon and Nikon lenses.

Now if only weather or environment sealing was included...
