Of $40 Cable TV Offers

I am 100% sure you will see a couple of “Free Satellite TV on PC” ads lined up on this page. They will probably assure you that you will be able to watch over 3000+ channels though the internet by purchasing some stinky software for only $40, which will do nothing except suck up your laptop battery life.

Well, I think, the very thought that someone would be convinced of buying such a product is in itself crappy. Though I sympathize with those who have been conned off their money, I still can’t tell whether its ignorance, plain stupidly, or greed, that makes people so gullible. Any simple look at these ads will tell you that the whole deal is most likely a con game. Read the content of one their “offers” and “disclaimers” and it will smell like a scam, look like one, and talk like one (by claiming it is not one.)

Why Pay for Some Free TV?

What these scumware (I call them so because of their poorly written code which rarely works,) do, is to link you to free TV channels and free videos that you can find after 20 minutes of googling for them. Thousands of the “3,000 TV channels” are broadcasted in foreign languages that you can’t even understand.

If you are looking for a specific piece that was aired by one of the free-to-air channels, the best thing to do is to go to the website of the TV station and see if what you are looking for, is there. If not, go to genuine sites such as Joost, Hulu, Channel Chooser, World TVPC, WWI TV, and Google Video, then search for what you want. There are many other great sites that you will find if you are serious about internet TV.

Of “Genuine” Software Reviews

Yes, many of the affiliates of "Free Satellite TV on PC" software seem to have golden words for these scams. You know why? – it is the financial motive. These products tend to offer some very good commissions that a “will-work-for-food internet guru” would find irresistible. In any case, it is obvious that if a person is reviewing 200 products - having hired some freelance writer to write the reviews for him - he probably doesn’t have the time and the money to try out all the “five star” products.

Pay TV for Free? Mmmh…Kinda Illegal

I know you will probably tell me that "this link" will lead me to programs that can only be watched through satellite TV. If that is true, then know that whatever you are engaged in is illegal. I always have this feeling that people who are likely to be conned are those that think of coning other people.

The point is this: if you want to pay for something that you can receive for free, well and good. But if you are looking for a cunning (or is it coning?) way of watching subscriber-only channels, then be ready to deal with the legal consequences. TV programs are still copyrighted material and you never know who is watching you download those torrents. The penalty that you may pay may be enough to kick the Simpsons out of you and still have enough money left to pay off your cable TV bills for the next ten years.

Buy One! Burn!

Not all these software are scams. Sometimes they do work. We all know that even broken clocks (do people still hang them on walls?) are right at least twice a day. If you feel (for no amount of evidence can out-reason your feelings,) that you must get one of those internet TV software, then know that you are either heading into a scam or a definite way of wasting your money. What you will be paying forty bucks for is a piece of crap being peddled to suckers.

P.S. You will probably not get your refund if you want to take advantage of the “30 day, 100% money guarantee! No Obligations! Free Satellite TV on PC” deal.
