Below is a list of publishes that offer free or inexpensive downloads of sheet music for piano and voice parts, particilarly choral arrangements. Some of these publishers offer only Classical Sheet Music as free, since the classics are in the public domain. However, several offer down loads for $4-5 or so. Online and Off Line Sources for Free Music

EBAY and AMAZON have collections of sheet music, sheet music books and other learning materials for pianaists and other musicians.

AMAZON has retail prices as well as auction-based prices and can be very affordable.

Another place to try is your local colleges and university music departments. Ours give sheet music and books away as they purchase new materials and have libraries full of sheet music that is inexpensive to copy or scan and email to yourself through their copy machines.

Used book stores also carry sheet music and piano books, and the public library may carry some as well.

Look on Craigslist.com for people giving away books and sheet music and for music publishers with affordable prices.

Another site to try is FREECYCLE, which is an all-giveaway site.

Much success to you!

Great information! I used the Hanon exercises you mention in your book list when I was studying the Piano at school, college and university. They're really good and there are several volumes.

I think the music in the picture at the bottom is Beethoven's "Moonlight" Sonata - anyone else agree?

Thank you for making nice comments d and h! I enjoy many types of music but do not play piano - well I can do the right hand part, and sometimes the left hand, but not together. And I type like playing piano - crossing hands. LOL I play cornet, trumpet, french horn. :)
