The Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas
Las Vegas Freebies
All my friends know that I am a huge fan of free stuff and living frugally. Which self respecting visitor to Las Vegas would ever want to pay the full price if they did not have to or go home from such a wonderful city of chance without managing to get something for nothing. So as I am generous, I will tell you a few things you can get for free on your next trip to Las Vegas.
The first free 'must see' is The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens which offer delights to the eyes of the beholder. It is a fantastic delight to all of your senses to see the sights and smell the fragrance of these unique gardens that display seasonal highlights with plants, flowers, and all kinds of stuff. Each new season offers new display and there is no fee to view these beautiful floral arrangements. It is a great place to take a photo to help you remember your great time in Las Vegas.
Have you ever seen dancing water? If not, then after you have visited the Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio, you will want to stick around outside long enough to witness the fountains in the Bellagio Lake. This show consists of more than 1000 fountains that are dancing in the water and choreographed to be in unison with lights to the music (you will probably be very surprised or quite possibly impressed by the variety and extent of the music play list for this show). This is free to witness and occurs about every half hour or so after 3PM throughout the each week and after noon during the weekends.
If you decide to look for more fun that is completely free for the entire family to enjoy, especially if you have youngish kids, then head on over to Circus Circus for the Circus Acts> This show is also free to watch and will provide the audience with the many thrills and chills that you find in any Big Top. You can watch the many different acts as they perform all through the day at each half hour mark between the hours of 11AM to Midnight.
Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall supplies a stunning display of water and laser lights daily (2PM, 6PM, 8PM, and 10PM). The show is called "Sunset Stampede" and takes place in a 9 story high atrium that hosts live trees, waterfalls, greenery, and trails in a natural environment.
Another free attraction in Las Vegas is the 'Masquerade Show in the Sky'. Again it is free to watch, although if you decide to participate by riding on one of the floats, the cost is about $13 (that is subject to increase). This experience is just like a Carnival in Brazil. The floats are suspended from the ceiling and this show is considered one of the very best free shows that Las Vegas has to offer.
One of the most interesting of the free stuff is the Silverton Hotel and Casino's Aquarium. You will find that this attraction is a fascinating thrill to children of all ages, and parents usually enjoy it as well. You can enjoy watching both freshwater and salt water fish in their natural habitats (well almost, they are in captivity!) and enjoy all the ambiance of your surroundings.
Another amazing free show is 'The Sirens of Ti' which is a fantastic sexy pirate’s tale that shows at Treasure Island on a daily basis as long as the weather allows, which is most days of the year. This is one brilliant show that the kids, especially little boys that like pirates and the older boys that enjoy watching a sinking ship while sirens do what sirens do.
Free entertainment in Las Vegas is often the best entertainment that can be found, it is meant to get you into the casino, but with so much to see, you should not be spending too long gambling. There are so many things to do in Las Vegas that can cost you fortunes. It is good to know that there are so many adventures available for a small charge or no cost at all. If you do need to spend money, spend wisely, you will find that you will enjoy the better part of most days filled without breaking into your wallet or becoming personal friends with any creditors!
Las Vegas - Cheap Stuff
With the present financial crisis around the world that started in 2008, you will not be surprised to hear that many prices have dropped. You may be surprised that the city struggling the most is Las Vegas. You see, Las Vegas depends on the flow of people, and at the moment that flow has dropped over 20%!
So what does this mean for you? Well it means you can get dirt Cheap Hotels, some are being almost given away! Take the Stratosphere for example, I have seen prices as low as $15 a night! Then we have the Hilton, yes the Hilton, $25 per night, and you get a free $15 gambling chip!!
Getting to Las Vegas is now cheaper. My most recent flight from the UK cost £363, I paid £540 in March 2008 for the same carrier. You can find many Cheap Flights to Las Vegas.
Once in Las Vegas do not be afraid to ask for stuff. If you want to see a show in a hotel, ask if they will give you two for one, if they do not, which would be unusual in the present climate, walk away and try the next show. If you have kids, ask for two for one, or if not see if the kids can get in for free or half-price.
Ask at the counter at your hotel what free stuff is available. If you do not ask, you will not get.
If you have never been to Las Vegas, now is the best time to go, I doubt it will ever be this cheap again.

For my money (or free, hah!) I think the Belliago fountains are the #1 freebie attraction/show in Vegas.
