Why run teleseminars

When you run an internet based business it is essential you do all you can to stand out from the crowd so people can find you. Nothing beats being able to show people just how much you know.

A teleseminar is an online learning experience using a telephone conference system. People register to attend an event that you host on a specific day at a specific time. On that day you deliver a value packed informative 30, 45 or 60 minute session that leaves people wanting to know more.

Who Runs Teleseminars

Anyone can use teleseminars to highlight their business experience and it is particular relevant for

  • Anyone who runs a membership site and wants to attract new members
  • Life coaches, personal trainers, and speakers looking to find an audience
  • Internet marketers looking to sell their products/services

Just about any business professional can find a way to run an online telephone seminar or telesemianr and it doesn't have to cost alot to get started.

What you need

1. A telephone conference line

2. A date and time in the diary

3. A lead capture page where people can go to sign up

4. An autoresponder to collect the names and emails

That's it.... you set up your date and time, book the conference line, create your page that people will go to to sign up, and advertise your event.

List Building

Another great reason to run telesemianrs is the fact that you get to build your list. If you are running an internet based business without a list then you are making it difficult for yourself.

The traditional way to build a list is to offer something free, either a report that you have written or an eCourse. Teleseminars offer you an alternative way to build your list because people are signing up to listen to what you have to say. The more you can offer them the more sign ups you will receive.

Offering Incentives

Its a good idea to offer people a free report for signing up while they are waiting for the day of your teleseminar to arrive. Then after running your teleseminar it is traditional to make the replay available for everyone on the call. You can also think about adding your teleseminar replay to your blog for anyone who didn't register.

Selling Products/Services

At some point during your free teleseminars you will want to make an offer to those on the call. You might want to consider making your offer valid for less than 24 hours. Some teleseminar hosts make their special bonus available for only 10 minutes!

Premium Content

Another way that you can make money from your teleseminars is to sell the finished product. You may decide not to sell anything during the call but instead just provide value for 60 minutes then include that audio inside a membership area as premium content. You can then offer people an opportunity to sign up for your membership site either for a monthly fee or a one time fee. How much and how often is up to you.

You can also place the first 10 minutes of premium content on your blog so that people can listen to a little of it and then encourage them to sign up to listen to the complete audio.
