It all sounds so fun and easy, you find a site and can download free unlimited ringtones. Then all you have to do is look for the little *asterick or the fine print and see the catch. In many cases there will be a monthly fee somewhere hidden in those free ringtone offers. But you don't have to go through those "free offers." You can still get the free ringtones you want - music, games, wallpapers, and logos and it won't cost you anything. Well other than standard text messaging rates and fees. But you would be paying those anyways.

One way to download and make all the free ringtones you want is by doing a search for free ringtones on Google and browsing through the sites you find on the left hand side of the results. Watch out for the results on the right hand side as those are advertisements. Those are the ones that have the monthly fees attached to them.

You can expect to have to view a LOT of ads on each of those free sites you have to visit. Someone has to pay for the costs to run the sites and all the downloads you want. So most of the sites will be advertiser supported, but you still get your free ringtones so that works out for everyone.

Here are 3 sites that I found just looking for free unlimited ringtones and they are all ad supported or require a small yearly fee. That's yearly not monthly.

Another way to get free unlimited ringtones is to make your own. The idea is to sign up for an unlimited music download service and make your own ringtones using the music you download. Sign up for Napster, download all the songs you want, get a free ringtone maker and then viola! you have unlimited ringtones for your phone.
