Want To Know How To Generate Unique Free Web Site Content

Five Ways To Generate Unique Free Web Site Content

There is no doubt that the best way to make sure you have on-going, long term success with your website is to have a constant stream of new, fresh and unique free web site content being added.

Content is King online, especially in Google’s eyes, and of course we all want to keep Big G as happy as we possibly can (don’t we? It’s good for business you know).

If you don’t keep your content “dynamic” the search engine spiders will soon stop visiting if they “see” the same old stale content time after time. So, new and fresh content will ensure the spiders keep coming back and help you gain a steady flow of traffic.

Clearly once you have that traffic flow, it is much easier to monetize.

Having accepted this need for constant new content in order to pull in and keep that traffic flowing, how do you generate free website content?

Difficult question, eh?

So, I thought I’d write this quick hub to give you some interesting ideas on where you can go to get vast quantities of new and up to date information and how you can use it to generate loads of unique free web site content.

No matter what the subject of your website…the best way to gain and keep lots of interested visitors, buyer and subscribers is to provide regular new, unique, useful and fresh content…just like I do :>)

To start with, let me ask you a question.

When you are looking for information online what is the first thing you do?

I’ll give you three guesses, but I reckon you’ll only need one. You got it…do a Google search.

This is where most people stop. However, did you know that Big G provides an entire arsenal of tools that you can use to find loads of amazing information that you can use to build free web site content for your site!

And…rather than just skim the surface, these tools allow you to get much deeper into the subject matter on pretty much any subject you might want to write or learn about.

So, here we go with some great free web site content sources and some ideas on how you can use them

Google News
http://news.google.com

Google News allows you to keyword search well over 4,500 news
sources. What an amazing resource!

You may or may not have heard of Resveratrol, it’s something
relatively new in the supplements arena.

In very basic terms it is an anti ageing, anti cancer substance found in red grape
skins. This means it’s also in red wine, which is my excuse for drinking the stuff!

However, as an alternative therapy it has only recently hit the market. I found over 180 news articles about Resveratrol.

I tend to start with Google News if I’m in research mode. I tend to look for good quotes that I can use and then base an article around. So maybe find a couple of interesting quotes and then use some of the other sources to build your article or free web site content content.

Google Groups
http://groups.google.com

Yahoo Groups
http://groups.yahoo.com/

These groups are made up of people (just like you) who have an interest in and like to discuss a given subject online. So look up your topic in the groups and see what people are saying about it. In these groups you will find people talking about what problems they have in the subject area. Other users will tell you how they solved those problems.

Problems and solutions = products and great content.

So, use some of the ideas you find in your content. Cover some of the arguments and
counter points these groups throw up. This is lively, entertaining and useful content
that will keep your customers coming back for more and your traffic figures high.

Google Blogsearch
http://blogsearch.google.com

Blogging has become a hot topic over the last couple of years. Now you do have to be careful with Blogs as a lot of the content tends to be the bloggers view on a subject. However, they are a great place to find out what people think and what are the hot subjects attracting a lot of discussion.

They are also great for digging deep into a niche of virtually any sort!

I did a search on Google Blogsearch for “lose weight” and got, wait for it… 3.3 million (yes that’s right) results. Hopefully that is enough information for you!

What? You want more?

O.K!

Google Scholar
http://scholar.google.com

This one is a bit technical! However, if you have a site that deals with a highly technical or deeply detailed subject, then search Google Scholar where you can find out what the academic world is saying on a given subject. You can get some amazing “expert comments” on almost any subject.

Google Books

http://books.google.com/

O.K, I know you can get on to Amazon or go to Borders and buy a book, but, why not check out the thousands of books on Google Books first?

This is probably the most incredible tool of all those mentioned on this hub.

At the click of a mouse you have access to literally thousands of books from “how to” books, through marketing, technical right up to the classics and children’s stories. It is a truly amazing tool. Check out the background on this service by reading “The Google Story” by David A Vise. It’s an amazing story!

I have found very few marketing people who ever dig this deep for information. Using tools such as these will give your web site content a much more informed depth and certainly make it unique and set you apart from the pack.

I have one final Google “trick” for you.

I only found this out recently, but there are over 2 million PDF documents stored in Google…and they are all searchable. Amazing isn’t it?

Try doing a search on “subject” +free +filetype:pdf and see what you get.

You may well be surprised. For those of you that remember vinyl records (sadly I am old enough, but it’s a subject I have an interest in) I did this search string and got over 5,800 results! Incredible.

This is a great little trick that so many marketers either miss or just plain don’t know about.

So, I have given you a whole raft of easy to use tools that will really help you get a great flow of unique free web site content that WILL differentiate you from the crowds.

These tools allow you to  quickly and effortlessly bring together a vast array of information from a huge range of sources!

Remember unique, new and interesting content will bring and keep visitors
for your website. There are enough ideas here to keep your content meter “ticking over” for a very long time indeed.

And, if after all that…you are still stuck…(and I know this isn’t a Google tool)

…try Wikipedia www.wikipedia.org

Wikipedia is a good starting point to get basic information on subjects. The reason I really like Wikipedia is all the related subject links that are “attached” to each article.

These added links allow you to really start to “dig into” a subject. They also allow you to look at related but lateral subject matter as well. It’s a good way to look for information on related “long tail” type subject matter.

Just one word of warning with Wikipedia. All of the content is written by individuals so, do cross check the information. It has also been the subject of deliberate “subject sabotage” on occasion recently. There have been examples where entries on politicians have been “tampered” with.

Normally just in an amusing fashion (I mean, politicians probably bring it on themselves anyway), but you do need to be aware of this practise!

Now, if all of these information sources haven’t got your “creative juices flowing” and loads of free web site content, you can always have your content or articles written for you, but that is a different subject, for different day.

I hope you have found this hub useful, get out there and search!
