Know exactly when your website is down

One of the biggest challenges that a webmaster can face is keeping track of when there are problems with their websites. Though many hosting companies promise 99.9% uptime, the truth of the matter is that it is quite often more than that.

But if you don't know if your website is down, you don't realize how many dollars are slipping through your fingers. Also, if you are with a cheap hosting company, you might find that by monitoring the uptime of your site, you realize that you are not getting your moneys worth out of the service that you have.

This is even more important as you move into a larger and larger network of sites. It gets to the point where it is almost impossible to keep track of them all - that is when you need uptime monitoring software.

Free Uptime Monitoring Software

Though I had looked into many different products on the market that offered a website monitoring service, I just didn't have it in my budget to pay for the extra service.

So, I thought that I would look for some free services and software that was available online. I tried a number of them, but most of them didn't do what I needed them to do properly.

It wasn't until I found Integrio Uptime Scout that I found software perfect for the job. It allowed me to add an unlimited number of sites, and set the interval for checking them to as little as 30 seconds.

If you have a website and want to know how often the site goes down and how reliable your hosting is, you should give it a try. It does a great job, and the best part - it is free.

Great article! I have been using internet based uptime monitoring. But recently saw an article saying that you are sharing all your website stats with them.

Finding a good free software program was a time consuming task until I found your article.

Thanks!
