How to get free listings in Google

Ever wonder why your web site doesn't rank in the search engines? Here's how to do it.

In trying to get the coveted top spots in Google and Yahoo, there are two main factors that determine your placement in these search engines.

One is "on page content" which is in essence what your web pages and web site are all about. Content means text, video, audio, pictures, and anything that creates value for your visitors when they visit your webpage.

Another major thing that determines your search engine placement is the number of inbound links to your site from other sites and what those other sites say (in their links or anchor text) about your site. And this is usually the most misunderstood thing about search engine marketing.

While you may have great intentions by creating alot of "outbound" links ON your website to other sites, this will do nothing for you website in the short run. In the long run, you may drive traffic and links to your site by providing great content, but getting inbound links is the key.

So for today's LGB Marketing Tip, from www.letsgobanners.com

This is Chris, the Beach SEO Guy,
