The first time I threw a baby shower for one of my girlfriends totally stressed me out. I wanted to do make everything perfect, and although I can say it was a success in the end, I made lots of mistakes along the way.

...And it took me such a huge amount of time, I swore to myself that I'd never do it again!

One of the things that I really struggled with was making the invitations for the guests. I was on a tight budget for the party and I decided to keep my costs down by designing the invitation cards myself.

I'm not a very creative person and definitely not artistic, so it turned out to be a quite a nightmare in all honesty.

In the end, the invitations came out quite nice, but it was such a lot of work, and I felt like pulling my hair out at times.

...And the printing! Don't even get me started on that. Let's just say I blew my budget in the end.

Anyway, my girlfriend was so happy with the way I organized the event that other friends asked me to plan theirs and I've done many since. (You can't say no to good friends :-) Actually I've become known as the "Baby Shower Queen" :-)

The next time I planned one, I did tons of research online to find out the easiest and best way to make the invitations. I didn't want the stress again.

...And amazingly, I came across a site that provides invitations for free! Yippeee, I was so happy!

They give lots of choices for designs... and you can even upload your own design if you're good at that kind of thing (unlike me!).
