There are lots of companies who give out freebies to promote themselves and their products. What do they want in return? Nothing really, except your email address and your permission to receive promotional emails from them about their products. And ofcouse, your house address where they can send the freebie!

Why do they Send Freebies?

Simple! To promote their products; especially the newly launched and to attract customers. They want their customers to try the product before they buy and send the product or product sample totally free. Some of them also ask you if you'd like to subscribe to their newsletter, to get the latest updates on products. This option is ticked by default, so when you request the freebie, you either untick it, or you'll get emails from them. In this way, companies can market their product to potential customers.

There are a few online survey panels who send free products to their panel members, and ask for feedback in return.

What can you get?

Anything and everything, it basically depends upon the companies who are giving away the freebie. You can get free health and beauty samples e.g. shampoos, creams, moisturisers, perfume samples; Free Food samples e.g. candies, drinks; Free DVDs, promotional and training dvds; Household Freebies, including free sample of fabric softeners, . Then again, there are lots of freebies that you can get for babies; e.g. nappies, milk samples, free photo prints for babies etc.

There is no limit to the number of freebies that you can get. You decide which ones are useful for you and then request them by filling simple forms! You can also join online survey panels who send free products to you and ask for your feedback in return. I will list 4 such online survey panels in this hub.

I have personally received lots of freebies, including loreal moisturiser (for sunkissed skin), Elvive anti dandruff shampoo sample, free sim packs, free coffee samples, free books, a slimfast diary, newborn baby cap from Rainbow Babies, free 2009 calendar, night pants for little walkers from huggies, swimming pack for kids from huggies, nappy rash cream sample, lots of newly launched perfume samples and and recently got a nivea moisturiser a really big bottle)
