Freelance writing: how to make the most out of your articles
48Writing articles and blogs are fun and some people earn money along the
way. You should aim at polishing each and everyone of your article so
that you can increase its number of views, easy to search, great title,
catching audience and ultimately its entire value. Each article will make so much more if you take a little time to edit your title,
key words, humor, niche, hook in, and its content. Great content always
sell more than the technical stuff.
You can have the most fancy
vocabulary build in but if your audience doesn't care for it you still
have not succeed. The most important person to focus on is your reader.
After all they will be the one that will come back for more or look at
your other content. They can also buy your work, article, or your book
if they like your content.
The most important thing when right
an article is to write about a popular topic. A popular topic will
generate more viewers and thus more income for you. You can write about
the grass if you want but not a lot of people will click on it and
therefore you have wasted your time and energy. You want to pick a
topic that most people like or are concern about. You can do a quick
research at the statistics of each page or google
tracking to see what people are searching for. Chances are you can
write an article off of that search. Each of your website that you
write for will have a list of hot views articles, hot topics and most
requested articles. All you have to do is follow those and you should
be great.
The topics that are popular most of the time are locals, reviews, restaurant, entertainment, travel guide, celebrity, politician, myspace, career, humor, relationship, and parenting. People most often love to view these topics as I have research it. You can imagine it you
were to search on Google what would they be looking for.
They'll be looking for things that they don't know about. They'll be
looking for a restaurant, a theater, a theme park, a ball game, a
healthcare issue, and so on. The list is endless and it just depends on
the searcher but there are always some common topics that people always
search for and those are local guide, review, movies, celebrity, music,
sports or a topic for their school research.
People will look
for what they don't know. You have to look at the top search and learn
from that. Most of the time your article will come up on Google if you
have enough keywords in it. The key to a good article is exact key
words. Key words that a searcher would type in to search. If you type
in football score as your keyword that might not be specific enough but
if you type in USC football updates that will sure come up on Google.
The
key point to use really specific and relevant keywords so that it'll
come up on Google. You can test out one of your article by typing it in
at Google to see if where it landed. Some article will be the first
thing and some will be the middle ones. It all depends on specific
keywords.
After picking a good topic and specific keywords in
your title and your content you will now need to write a really good
title. A good title is a title that make somebody want to click on it
right away because it appeals to them in a certain way. You really have
to craft
your title so that you can catch more viewers. Just as long as it's not
too falsely crafted either. For example, if you title your article
"Make money writing", this might be better if you title it " Make $50
per article by writing for kkk.com".
