French Women Don't Get Fat

French Women Don't Get Fat is a novel of course written by a French woman for the American women who have always had to struggle to lose weight. The author not surprisely has been on the Oprah Show a number of times explaining the basics of her book, Why French Women Don't Get Fat."

The book is written in a novel type of story about a french girl who is of a well to do family and is able to travel back and forth to the United States. There was a contest at her school in France to win a visit to the United States on an exchange program. The author of the book won but was saddened that her friend had not won and offered to stay in France. Her friend told her that she could go to the United States where the author met her husband, an investor. Because of her new marriage, she was able to write the book, Why Don't French Women Get Fat as she noticed the difference in French and American women on her travels from Paris to America.

The author used to be chubby because of the variety of pastries that were abundant in France. Once she noticed her weight gain, the author simply made another route to and from school so that she did not have to be tempted by the aroma of the French pastries. Another delicacy of France that helped the author to lose weight was the abundance of leeks. Leeks is a vegetable found in some supermarkets that is grown with an abundance of water. Eating a daily supply of leeks will sufficiently decrease weight because the amount of water found in the vegetable. The book, Why French Women Don't Get Fat. has a multitude of low fat recipes to help the reader to lose weight. These recipes more mostly than not contain the miracle vegetable, leeks.

Most Americans are aware that vegetables are good for their health. What Americans may not realize is that leeks do the double duty of having reduced calories and the characteristics of water depletion that helps to lose weight. The vegetable does not make you want to crave water becaue it is not laded with unhealthy salt. The French are aware of its ability almost of miraculous proportions to use water in helping to lose weight

The author of Why French Women Don't Get Fat also tells American women about the eating habits of the French. French women use a majority of their time decorating the table and picking out decorative dinnerware in which to eat. They savor each taste of each morsel of food in the etiquette of a noble woman. The French women go through great length to present an atmosphere of utmost comfort and elaborate eating environment so as to totaly enjoy their meals.

Why Women Don't Get Fat is an excellent book to read if you are trying to lose weight. You will find yourself shopping for only the best dinnerware and placemats to set a beautiful table instead of rushing to an eating atsmosphere that is less stylish and entertaining. You will learn to savor your food and to take your time eating. Without realizing it, after reading the book, Why Women Don't Get Fat, you will find yourself taking a different route around Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts. You may have lost a few pounds after reading all that the French women do before they partake of a meal in Why Don't French Women Get Fat.
