Ask Susan Peters Pet Food Review

I do not like the use of salt. I do not think we need to add table salt to our pet's diet.

Natural flavor worries me since we don't know the source of the natural flavor. Flavor of what? A lot of times companies obtain flavor from the droppings of the animal the company wants to make the product taste like.

I've looked over the ingredients of this pet food and it looks like something I would feed to my dog. I am very proud of Freshpet for not using corn, wheat, or soy. So many pet food companies use these three grains and beet pulp as a cheap filler.

Let me remind you of the effects of corn, wheat, and soy.

Corn, wheat and soy are resonsible for fever, ear aches, ear infections, bad bread, dental disease, hair loss, dry and itchy skin, bloat, tumors, warts, moles, abnormal nail growth, arthritis, deafness, blindness, digestive problems, siezures, inflamed liver, inflamed kidneys, bladder problems, heart problems, and death. Oh yeah, for the good effects of these three grains - reduces the cost of pet food production.

I consider this flavor and style of Freshpet a healthy pet food.
