Yosemite National Park
Yosemite National Park is a national park spanning eastern portions of Tuolumne, Mariposa and Madera counties in east central California, United States. The park covers an area of 761,266 acres (308,073 ha) and reaches across the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain chain. Yosemite is visited by over 3.5 million people each year, many of whom only spend time in the seven square miles (18 km²) of Yosemite Valley.
Sequoia National Park
Sequoia National Park is a national park in the southern Sierra Nevada, east of Visalia, California, in the United States of America. It was established in 1890 as the second U.S. national park, after Yellowstone National Park. The park spans 404,051 acres (1,635.14 km2). Encompassing a vertical relief of nearly 13,000 feet (3,962 m), the park contains among its natural resources the highest point in the contiguous 48 United States, Mount Whitney, at 14,505 feet (4,421 m) above sea level.
Kings Canyon National Park
Kings Canyon National Park is a U.S. National Park in the southern Sierra Nevada, east of Fresno, California. The park was established in 1940 and covers 462,901 acres (187,329 ha). It incorporated General Grant National Park, established in 1890 to protect the General Grant Grove. The park is north of and contiguous with Sequoia National Park; the two are administered by the National Park Service as one unit, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Fresno Chaffee Zoo is a zoo located in center of Roeding Park in Fresno, California. In addition to animal displays, it is also the home of Ross Laird's Winged Wonders Bird Show. Largo Canyon, New Mexico - As I wandered along a dry sandy wash, the scream of a red-tailed hawk lingered on the wind. I scanned the clouds for this raptor but saw nothing. I searched the high canyon walls for a nest on a gnarled juniper tree stretching toward the powder-blue sky. Still, I saw nothing. I had just about given up on my search when I spied a peculiar shape nestled within the eroded niche in the sandstone bluff above me. I stopped my hike, unshouldered my backpack, and contemplated the sight. Curiosity overwhelmed me and I had to climb to this oddity.
