Friends are Enemies to Your Weight Loss Plan
59Friends are enemies of your weight loss program because either they are applauding your success or they are tempting you with foods that they know you are not supposed to have. You need to weave out of your friendships if you find that the people involved are not supportive. These people are not your friends if they are not encouraging you but instead is making you second guess a choice between an apple or a piece of cake.
People can be jealous of your weight loss efforts. If you detect jealously, then more than likely these people are not your friends. Jealous friends may have you trying to remain their friends and the only way that you can do that is to get off of your weight loss program. A good rule to follow to discern the real friends from the fake friends is whether or not they will join you in your exercise program. If they are willing to go with you to the gym, then more likely, they are as interested in good health as you are. If they have some off the wall excuse that does not make sense, then make yourself an excuse not to associate with them any further.
Real friends are encouraging and will be there for you. Staying on a weight loss program is all about staying on the course. A real friend will let you know that it is alright for you to call them if you get the urge to get off of your weight loss program. A real friend knows you need encouragement to remain on your weight loss program. Fake friends will talk their talk but when you are in need of encouragement is not always there for you. Your friends can be your enemy on a weight loss program and it is up to you to know the difference between a real friend and a fake friend. The analogy will either keep you on your weight loss program or have you making an excuse to join the ones who are not interested in good health.
