Justified by Faith
52
Rom 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
According to these scriptures men are condemned by the law. The whole purpose of the law is to reveal our sins and the sins of all men. Moses wrote the law according to what men did to prove them all guilty before God. The law actually leads men to Jesus Christ as He is the Redeemer of those that believe.
Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Rom 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Rom 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
Rom 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Rom 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
Rom 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
Rom 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Rom 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
So by what means are we justified? Does the law justify anyone? Has anyone lived a perfect life according to the law? Can we live perfectly according to the law? If we could live perfectly according to the law then the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is in vain is it not?
We are justified by faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ as the sacrifice for our sins.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Being saved through faith means that we believe what God has said and have accepted it with repentance. We are created anew in Christ Jesus and are no longer bound by sin. In other words, we have risen above sin. Satan no longer has a hold on us such as he had on us before. Before the death of Christ satan held the keys to death and hell. All that died were in prison in hell. Jesus died and Satan was not able to put him in prison for there was no sin in Him at all. He was the perfect Lamb of God sacrificed for our sins.
Now since we are saved by grace through faith it is not any work that we have done that brings us salvation. The work has already been done and the foundation laid upon which we obtain salvation. If it was our work that brings us salvation then we would the right to boast about it. But it is the ultimate "gift" of God to all men that will accept it and believe it.
Were are now the "workmanship" of God in Jesus Christ. God works on us to bring us to the place where he wants us. No matter what anyone else says or believes it is God's work not ours.
Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Every man will receive according to his works whether they be good works or bad works each man will receive something from God. Whether it be eternal life or eternal torment each man will receive of God what is just and right. Don't you think it's time to get on the right path? Isn't it time to start being what God wants you to be? It is time to "grow up" and be mature in the Lord. Let's stop our petty bickering and come together in unity for God and let Him work through us. Let's praise Him for all He has done instead of trying to tear one another down. (Psa 150:6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.)

Thanks for the comments everyone.
You're absolutely right! Bless you for speaking the Truth here on Hubpages!
Jesus said that He came to fulfill the Law, not abolish it.
I'm so thankful that Jesus came to redeem us with His sacrifice, because there is no way I would (or any of us, for that matter) be able to obey all the Old Testament laws! I would fail everyday! But you're right; the O.T. laws were to show people how incapable of holiness they are and to run to God.
Thanks for posting so many great Scriptures and keep up the great work!
