Watching Mike Murdock , Getting Snippets of Wisdom

In case you don't know him, Dr. Mike Murdock is not the usual television evangelist. Dr. Murdock runs the wisdom Center in Texas, and has a popular program on Television.

This morning I caught a bit of Dr. Murdock as he spoke with Paula White. I'm am not a fan of Paula White, though I have nothing personal against her at all. I do listen to Dr. Murdock however, whenever I get the chance. He is always an inspiration to me, and I find that I can usually walk away from his broadcast with something to think about.

Today he spoke about the differences between us and the fact that no two human beings are exactly alike. To that end, he pointed out that no one else really understand you. The fact is this. When you meet someone for the first time, that person have never met someone like you before.

For you to fulfill your God-given mandate (purpose) on this earth, you have to find out what makes you different from everyone else. How are you different from other people. What do you like? What don't you like? What really get's your heart racing and your mind reeling with ideas? Somewhere in all of that, is our purpose. The sole reason you were placed on this earth. We all have to discover our purpose in life. What is yours? Perhaps Jack Canfield Can help you with that question.

Many of use live a life time and never find that purpose. In fact, one of the main reasons we don't find our purpose is that we get distracted making a living. Hence, we get so busy making a living, we never find our real purpose.

When we allow ourselves to become inspired by nature, the birds, the sea, children, animals, the scriptures, baby-talk, our spouses, or anything else, we have a chance of finding inspiration. That insipiration may very well hold the key to your life.

Sadly, we are quicker to seek "what is in it for us" than what it is we can do to make things better. I'm believing more and more, that in inspiration, we can find much wealth, but we must concentrate on the inspiration first. I think that the difference is to allow some wonder in God's creation to touch our souls first at the risk of financial loss in the experience!

Somehow, our purpose, when clearly defined will lead to the monetization; the act of earning money. This is accomplished, not by pursuing money, but by pursuing purpose. Could it be that if we pursue purpose, money will follow us? Some people believe that is so.

There is a scripture that speaks to that. Speaking of the man who fears or reveres the Lord... Psalm 112:3 says:"wealth and riches are in his house and his righteousness endures forever.".

If we pursue purpose, our own individual purpose for being, I believe that in fact, we will be pursuing God. If we pursue money, we pursue only a thing which has fleeting value and diminishing returns. Purpose is always better than money, I think.

Money is good, but purpose is better. Find your purpose and it is likely that money will pursue you and find you. Something to think about...eh?

Great hub! Another inspirational financial teacher with a lot of wisdom is Gary and Drenda Keesee. They were 100,000 in debt until they sought God on how to operate in Kindom principles. They were able to pay off their debt and save hundreds of thousands within a matter of years. Pretty awesome--check out this link if you haven't seen it!
