I have hated my hair all my life.

The sad fact is ... it's true.

I have had frizzy, curly, brittle, dry hair that never wanted to cooperate.

I could blow it out, curl it, straighten it, mousse it... heck, I could glue it into place... it wouldn't matter. It would frizz at will... its own!

To make matters worse, this out-of-control mass was dark brown, no highlights to speak of, coarse to the touch, but fine in texture. Yuck!

Its saving grace was the fact that I finally threw caution to the wind and decide to go blond. So, no matter how awful it was, it was at least the color of choice... mine!

To add insult to injury - my hair's - I have been chemically straightening it... myself.

My hair has been virtually destroyed!

One day, out of desperation, I walked into a local salon, Salon DeShano, and said to Jacqui DeShano, the owner..."I need help; I need hair 'rehab'." And it was the best thing I could ever do for my hair.

But for each, there was something lacking in the condition, texture, and manageability of their hair; this product is perfect, in many ways, for a wide variety of hair types.

The procedure went as follows-

Step One: Preparation - In preparation for the treatment, everyone was shampooed with a clarifying shampoo.

Step Two: Blow Dry - Hair was dried. Hair needs to be totally dry prior to application of product.

Step Three: Application - Product was applied to hair in sections. Then product was allowed to set for 20-30 minutes, depending on hair type, to penetrate the hair.

Step Four: Post Application & Blow Dry - The Product was combed through the hair for even distribution; hair was blow-dried.

Step Five: Final Step, Flat-Ironing Hair - A special high-heat flat iron was used as part of the final process. The high heat bonds the keratin into the cuticle and relaxes the sub-cuticle layer.

Results - Amazing! Each of us 'hair models' - regardless of the original hair condition - was thrilled! Our hair felt stronger, had more shine, there was no frizz, hair was straighter, and... Oh the way it felt! My hair had never felt like this before!

But the process was not quite over. After a 72 hour 'waiting period' - during which time hair must not be clipped, pulled back or restrained, and should not get wet - I headed to Salon DeShano for my follow up visit. This was the final test. My hair was shampooed and styled, normally. This is where the results were truly amazing! My hair retained the strong, supple, smooth-as-satin feel. It was manageable, frizz-free and straight. It styled beautifully. It was the hair I've always wanted!

It has been a few days since my follow up visit. My hair continues to be frizz-free, strong, smooth and silky to the touch. I may be holding my breath, but my hair is holding its own!
