The mighty python to some is a two seater convertible luxury car, to others it is a member of a group of snakes and a member of the Pythonidae family, and yet to others the only lizards they can associate with the python is that zany English comedy troupe called "Monty Python".
It is all of those and much more.
The generic name of the Pythonidae has been associated with any of the following creative processes and each one is somehow trying to print the mind with the impression of power, or fear, or fearlessness when looking outwards from the perspective of this slithering serpent.
Well all except maybe Monty Python.
Who knows what impressions those hilarious comedians will leave on the public?
As a firearm it was the Colt Python. This .357 magnum handgun was introduced in 1955. Most likely the name Python was associated to the pistol for it's reputation for precise accuracy along with it's solid construction. The Israeli military went down the same road in the 1950's with the development of a family of air to air missiles. These AAM's where originally named the Shafrir but in the 1970's they became the Python class and continued to be built in Israel by Rafael and exported mostly to South American countries.
As an automobile the Python was supposed to be a competitor or successor to the Cobra. This was in the 1970's when automobiles were as huge and as powerful as their namesake but times were changing for the automobile industry and gas guzzlers were being replaced by lighter version automobiles with smaller engines. The Ford automakers who were backing up the project financially pulled out and the Python never made it past the design phases.
However the Python had a second chance when, in the 1980's Alvin A. Kelly bought the molds and tried to revive the project. If you were lucky enough to buy one of the 20 Python that made it to the market and if you still own one of the twelve that still exist then you are indeed fortunate.
An Australian named George Vidovic started a company called Python in 1981 but the product he was making was a replica of a Cobra.
So there you have the makings of some major battle between two serpents.
Makes one wonder if the caduceus medical symbol where the two snakes slither up the staff of Hermes might not be a symbol of a battle between good and evil or between the forces of light and darkness or any other argument that needs to find balance to find wholeness and peace.
That serpent battle has been captured in films such as Komodo vs Cobra but the Python itself is not a player on the scene. With access to youTube and other video torrents we can however find many epic serpent battles between the Python and another snake or sometimes those battles are between the Python and a lesser foe.....more of a victim that a rival.
Back up in time and you become acquainted with the Python in mythology where this majestic serpent was the earth dragon of Delphi. Pytho was considered the center of the earth and the earth dragon, or this Python was charged with guarding her. The Delphic oracle was a stone and the navel of gaia or mother earth. From this location priestesses or oracles of Delphi, known as Pythia and protected by the earth dragon or Python worked their oracular magic. The job of the priestess was to channel energies or messages from the overlords who reside in the untime.
One myth goes on to state that a battle between Apollo and the Python earth dragon broke out and the serpent (she) was fatally wounded.
These myths bring a reader back to the times of the ancient poets were the master educators of the public and the major reformers of paradigms. The Homeric hymn to Apollo is one such mythical version of how the earth and the heavens and humanity evolved.
These mythological frameworks can be taken literally or figuritively.
However any literal interpretation is most likely lost in translation since these were word of mouth stories written up only in later times when languages were being formed.
But languages are still being formed.
So the Python slithers it's namesake into the paradigm of this day. Or should it be said that the Python never really died at the hands of Apollo but was merely cast aside for a time.
There's that (she) thing again which kind of correlates with the Age of Aquarius.
There's that time untime concept again. Overlords know not time so much since they are closer to the eternal energy. They simply have longer resting periods.
Today's new languages are binary codes and they have the some power that the Hebrew script gave to the House of Shem and they have the same power that they gave to the Greeks when they invented a new series of symbols of communication.
So some computer literate programmers of code or coders as some call this new breed of high priests came up with a computer language and called it Python.
Around this new age oracle a cult as developed and it is called the Python community. One of the main characters, call him a high priest or a major geek, is named Guido van Rossum. It is van Rossum who conceived the Python programming language back in the 1980's. The idea was to bring about to life - I refer this to the process of poiesis - a robot capable of amalgamating several styles of programming languages together in order to make it easier for programming language disciples to be able to write in another new age language and have the Python accept the files.
So there is nothing new under the sun today!!!!
We're all on the ride together and someone has conceived a version of a mechanical serpent with the power, strength, and fear factor of the Python to enforce that paradigm into our memory banks
As if one version of a Python roller coaster isn't enough there was a time when two such mechanical serpents existed in Gaia. The first one was at Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa and was built by Arrow Dynamics in 1976. This member of the Pythonidea family was a corkscrew type roller coaster. History as again pushed this Python into the memory banks of the matrix as it was closed permanently in 2006 and dismembered in a process of demolition
"I challenged a Python and lived" was the advertised hype when it opened but when a thrill seeker with a heart condition found himself charmed into the coils of the ride he never lived to tell about it. Busch Gardens officials pulled the line from their ad campaign soon after.
The other Python on Gaia continues to attract visitor to the Efteling amusement park in the Netherlands. This Python roller coaster was opened in 1981 and for a time (untime) was the biggest steel roller coaster on European mainland. The Efteling coaster is classed as a double loop corkscrew roller coaster and until Apollo comes along it remains alive and well and ready to challenge the emotions of any human alive.
And that's a little knowledge about the family of Pythonidea.
There's more....plenty of it.
The top image is of the Schwartz Brewing Company and they sell a beer named the Coney Island Ivory Python for example.
Little tidbits that say alot about a Python in the fabric of time and the paradigm.

I have a bug to do a hub....actually i'm going for no less than 30 hubs in 30 days and if the condition persists i might even go beyond just crazy into the land of insanity and go for the complete enchalada,...
