With the high cost of living these days, it is no wonder that families need to stick to tight budgets. However, there are many low-cost opportunities for having fun year round.
Committing ourselves to spending less in every area of our lives is very important; however, we do need to take a break and have fun once and a while. Not all fun recreational activities come with high prices.

Love the dumpster diving idea! I don't do that myself but find things on the sidewalk because people here are constantly throwing away great stuff!
I agree that dumpster diving is not for everyone. However, there are individuals and groups sustaining themselves - some out of necessity while others to show just how much is wasted on a daily basis.
Why let something that is perfectly good go to the landfill needlessly?
I'll have to check out some of these sites. Thanks for letting us know about them. My husband would love to dumpster dive for collecting I know some great stuff gets thrown away.
