Frugal Household Essentials Recipes

Here a few things recipes for household items that I have found on the internet! I have tried each of these recipes and use them frequently! This is not only a frugal idea, but is much more "green" than buying from the store constantly! Think of all those plastic spray bottles you are saving from polluting our earth! In fact, you could even change up some of the recipes to make them more natural and greener products!

First and foremost....Baby Wipes! For those of us who have little ones, we all know just how much money is spent on diapers and wipes. Diapers are easy, just use cloth diapers, but what about baby wipes? Well here is a recipe for making your own baby wipes!

2 Cups of Water
2 Tbsp of Baby Oil
2 Tbsp of Baby Wash
1 roll of thick paper towels ( I personally like the Viva ones or Brawny)
1 big plastic coffee can

Ok so first of all, you should clean that coffee can several times, otherwise your wipes are gonna smell like coffee, unless of course you would like for your wee one to smell of java!

Cut the paper towels in half (the entire roll including the core) using a corrulated knife.
Now, add all of the other ingredients into the coffee can. Then add the roll of paper towels. Put the lid on the container and place in the fridge for 1-2 hours.

Now take it out, take the core out and pull the wipes from the middle! Voila, you now have some homemade baby wipes!

FEBREZE:
Get a spray bottle and add 2 tbsp of fabric softener. Fill the rest of the bottle up with water. You now have some homemade Febreze spray!!!

WINDOW CLEANER:
Get a spray bottle and fill with 1 part water and 1 part vinegar! Now spray on windows and wipe clean with a newspaper!

Another tips is to cut your dryer sheets in half! They will create the same effect in your laundry at half the cost!
