Do people in the industry tell you to use the 3 foot rule where you speak to everyone in 3 feet of you? What other silly techniques were you told? Does it seem like they have your best interest at the heart of your business success?

I know that when I first joined my first network marketing company, I was told to use these same techniques. Were you told to make a list of 100 people and to see if they want extra cash.

The thick skin I thought I had wasn't enough after all of the rejection I witnessed. They told you it was a business of "sharing" and not "selling" yet how come no one is interested?

When I was officially shunned by everyone that I knew, all my upline told me that I didn't have a strong enough "why" for the business. I figured having a good reason to work the business would be enough to win. My reason for working was not in question, it was my method or my "how" which was. That was until I found out "how" to build my business outside of conventional means.

The marketing system is the "how". The are a ton of them existing. Many say you can drive up traffic to your website.

Junk traffic is easy to get and this is not junk traffic? Is the traffic targeted to which you can use? People confuse a lead as something that is automatically useful. No, not all leads are considered equal. The marketing system will capture the targeted traffic you send it. Leads are the life blood to all online mlm business. Having more than you can handle is essential.

Effective marketing doesn't need thousands of dollars to work. The idea is repeatability. You should go with a generic one that won't intrude on your current business. Automatically getting sales and information is only part of an organized system. The total system should help a distributor attract, capture, and provide service.
