Affiliate programs and contextual advertising are popular ways to try and make your writing earn money. But even with a big company like Google Ad Sense, these kind of programs usually take time before you generate a profit. People usually chalk up a few cents here and there. Unless you have a website getting about a thousand or more page views a day, it will probably be months before you even make pocket change. Writers with simple websites that are used solely to promote their writing, don’t get a thousand page views a month, let alone a day!

I discovered a REAL site for writers like myself to make money online. It is called Constant Content and I absolutely love it! I am not alone either. More and more writers are finding out about Constant Content (CC) and signing up to start getting paid for their writing. Not long ago, a fellow hubber, wrote a great hub article about the site. The article reinforced what I had only recently learned about CC. I had already signed up with CC but I hadn't found the KEY to getting my articles accepted yet. It can sometimes be a little tricky for writers who tend to overlook proper sentence structure. But the information you find here will help those writers who want to sign up and start submitting work.

It really is a great feeling to open your inbox and see the above information. Someone has selected your writing from all the rest and agreed to purchase it. The icing on the cake comes on payday when you confirm your Paypal account was actually credited the payment. Do you enjoy viewing your hub page stats, Google Ad Sense reports or e-How account summary? Well you’re gonna love logging into CC to check your inbox! Your joy will be multiplied a thousand times more!

As you can see, the two CC payments were earned within a seven day period. I wasn't even able to give 50% of my time that week because I had other things going on. That means being able to devote more time to writing will reap additional benefits. I've recently developed a practical writing schedule that is workable. I've also created a blog specifically for Constant Content writers like myself. What I don't know, I make a point to find out so writers can learn all they can about writing for CC. First sign up for Constant Content and be sure to join their Writer’s Compensation program. It’s TOTALLY FREE to do both. Be sure to fill in your profile and account information. This is how they will know where to send your payments. Because they currently pay via PayPal, you will need to have a PayPal account, which is also free to open. Although you can start submitting your writing immediately, you cannot receive payments until your PayPal account is active. Be sure to do this since your threshold (minimum amount you must earn before receiving payment) can be as low as $5.00. You may be receiving money sooner than you think (My last article sold was only 600 words and sold for $40.00).

One way to get paid is to choose from Requested Articles (public requests for specific articles) The requests are made to the CC community and they usually come from repeat customers who have used CC articles before. They know that Constant Content writing is of high quality.

The customer will provide details about what they want written, when they need it and how much they’ll pay for the writing. They even tell you what length they want the article (word count). They will typically indicate if they want to buy Full Rights (they buy it outright and are free to alter it and remove your name), Unique Rights (they buy it outright but cannot alter or remove your name), or simple Usage Rights (they can use the article but you retain rights and you can still offer it to others).

You can also make money by writing about whatever you want to write about. It's up to you. It should be something you will enjoy writing and if possible, a topic you know something about. That doesn't mean you can't research an unfamiliar topic and write a decent article about it. Just make sure you get your facts from 3 or 4 different sources and avoid any form of plagiarism, at all cost! Don't forget that your writing still has to appeal to potential customers. Most customers who search for articles on Constant Content are webmasters seeking web content for their viewers. Try to select topics that have mass appeal but also topics that target a particular niche. Shy away from time-sensitive articles because they have a short shelf-life.

When you select a topic to write about, you also get to set your own price for the article. You can view existing article requests of the same length as a good gauge for setting a price. You can even activate your “Best Offer” button, and accept or reject whatever offer a customer makes.

In order to sell your articles and get paid, your writing should be grammatically correct and free from all errors. This is a MUST! Constant Content has a reputation for providing quality writing.. They are sticklers for crossing your I’s and dotting your T’s. To prevent rejections, check and double-check for accuracy. before you submit writing.

Constant Content will send alerts to your account’s inbox whenever there are new public Requested Articles. You have to select this option on the My Account Details page. This way you will get automatic updates before the new requests are even posted for general viewing. Some requests are for one or two articles on the same topic, while some customers may request as many as 50 articles or more on the same topic. They may only need to be short articles about 300 - 600 words.  Even if the customer is only willing to pay 10 – 20 dollars per article, you can still make a tidy little profit if they purchase more than one of your articles. Email alerts help you stay ahead of the game and earn more by getting a head start.

Keep an eye on the Recently Sold Articles. This gives you an ideal about popular topics, so you know what to write about. It also helps you monitor public Requested Articles and determine when multiple articles are still needed. For EXAMPLE: A customer makes a request for 5 articles to be written about water parks. If you view the Recently Sold Articles and notice that two water park articles were purchased, it’s safe to assume they still need 3 more articles. Now you can submit your own water park article. In the event you submit writing for a public request and it is not purchased, it will be put on general display. Other customers may purchase it or you can remove it, modify it and try publishing it again.

Visit the CC Forum to read current and former posts by other writers. You can also post your own comments. This exchange of information is invaluable. You'll gain insight on the best way to write articles for CC. .You'll be surprised how much you learn from networking about Constant Content .

Even if some of the Requested Content doesn't appeal to me, I always think of a writer I know that the assignment would be just perfect for! I truly love the opportunities the job postings provide, even if I don't respond to any for that day. I want to see more writers realize that they have an alternative to trying desperately to make money with Google Ads or other contextual advertising.

Everyone tries to make money with contextual ads and affiliates because it's a great source of residual income. But no matter how great earning money from ad revenue is, and how lucrative writing for pay under those circumstances can be, it's not for everyone. Some people will never make any money with contextual advertising. On the other hand, not every writer can write for Constant Content, but it is a good option for the person who does not make money with Google Adsense, Ebay, or other affiliate type income. Constant Content could be a better income writing source for some writers, since it provides daily work they can actually make a living doing, It does, however, take writing discipline to regularly submit work on demand for pay.

This point is important and worth repeating. Be Sure Your Writing Is Polished! The most successful CC writers get paid and even earn a living from the money they make writing. If you take your time, give your writing some thought and follow the CC guidelines, you can definitely earn some cash. Constant Content takes 35% of the total sale of each article and the author receives 65%. If you are referred by another author, the 5% commission they receive will come out of Constant Content's percentage. A good referral partner (like myself) will be instrumental in helping you succeed in getting your first sale.

Warning

Probably one of the biggest barriers to writers succeeding on CC is the article submission process. Everyone receives rejections at some point. It may be a minor thing like a misplaced comma (I know from experience). Don’t get angry or disgusted and give up. Just remove the comma, re-submit the article and keep on writing!
