First - What Is Fucoxanthin

Fucoxanthin is a type of carotenoid found naturally in edible brown seaweed such as wakame and hijiki. Fucoxanthin can also be found in red and green seaweed, but in much smaller amounts. Although the richest source of fucoxanthin is brown seaweed, a person would have to eat an unrealistic amount of it daily to get fucoxanthin levels close to those used in research studies. In fact, to eat the proper amount of fucoxanthin could be very dangerous as the idoine levels would be extremely high. By consuming too much edible seaweed at once, you're running the risk of iodine poisoning.

The Nutrients In Fucoxanthin

Fucoxanthin is a popular nutrient in Asia and Europe. One of the first benefits discovered by scientists was the ability of fucoxanthin to help us lose belly fat.

Studies document that mice and rats fed a supplement of fucoxanthin lost 5% to 10% of their body weight. The studies compared two groups of mice or rats. Both groups were fed the same diet and given the same amount of exercise.

The group given the fucoxanthin supplement lost weight each time the study was conducted. The weight lost by the mice was fat in the abdominal area. This is an exciting discovery as belly fat in humans is the most difficult fat to lose when dieting.

But what is most notable is that in this study, the mice that were given the Fucoxanthin dropped a quarter of their body weight in 4 weeks.

NEW Fucoxanthin 10 Times The Strength

FucoPure 10:1 is a patented processing of Fucoxanthin with 1,000 times the potency of the normally occurring fucoxanthin. FucoPure delivers 10 times the strength of fucoxanthin, 10 times the speed, and 10 times the results of other fucoxanthin products in the market. FucoPure is 1,000 times the strength of fucoxanthins normally occuring in nature. WATCH OUT FOR THE IMITATORS. There is only ONE FucoPure and if you don't see the FucoPure Seal, it's not.

How Fucoxanthin Really Works In Relation To Fat Loss

People have referred to Fucoxanthin as a non-stimulant thermogenic... implying that it affects overall metabolism. However, what occurs with fucoxanthin is not the typically acknowledged effect of speeding up the bodies overall metabolism. The type of metabolic effect, more indicative of Fucoxanthin is described as adaptive thermogenesis.

An example of adaptive thermogenisis is this: When you are cold, you shiver. This shivering creates energy also known as heat in the body. But this thermogenisis is specific and localized to visceral fat. so rather than effecting your overall body's metabolism, it is believed to promote thermogensis or the heating of fat cells to expend energy to metabolism fat.

This would have a direct correlation to the overall percentage of body fat. The significance of the Fucoxanthin is it's ability to target your diet plan to significantly lower your percentage of body fat. This is also the key components being looked at as possible assistance with the growing number of cases of Syndrome X, or the numerous health problems associated with Obesity and Type II Diabetes.

Dr. Mercola on Fucoxanthin

The Stress to Fat Process

  1. Something abnormally stresses us out
  2. Cortisol is released

  3. Our brain says "I'm hungry, feed me please" ...and we eat
  4. Our fat cells are told, "Quick, store more fat"... and that's what happens
  5. The result, after awhile is belly fat

Can we slow down the signs of aging... please?

As we age, our body's metabolism begins to slow down and if we don't exercise and consume less calories, belly fat starts to appear. This is a natural aging process, which follows becoming sedentary, picking up poor eating habits and yes, never learning how to cope with stressors. The alarming news is that this problem with belly fat is hitting a much younger population than in years past. What is more alarming is that belly fat, also called visceral fat (because it is stored in the abdominal area), is the most dangerous type of fat we can acquire. Because this fat is located in the abdominal wall, it is closest to the heart and other vital organs.
