Cupcake Wedding Cakes

One simple, and very whimsical alternative to a wedding cake is to serve cupcakes, perhaps displayed in tiers. The cupcakes can be decorated to look like miniature wedding cakes or with stylish monograms. Either way, substituting a wedding cake for cupcakes is sure to make an impact.

If you think that’s strange, some couples have come up with even more outrageous ideas than that. Just for the hell of it, some couples have opted to serve their favorite snack cakes at their wedding receptions. Wedding guests are treated to huge piles of fun treats like Twinkies or Ho Ho’s. Creating displays from these is a cinch and large numbers of snack cakes will look impressive, pleasing guests with a gluttonous feast.

Cookie Wedding Cakes?

Cookies make an interesting stand-in too. They could be served on mass in the same way as snack cakes, or placed on display like cupcakes. For the traditional cake cutting ceremony, why not have a giant cookie made and decorated specially for the occasion. There are a number of cookie stores and specialist bakeries would be willing to do this for you. Enjoy this tasty treat at your next wedding!

Large wedding cakes often provide the centerpiece for the wedding reception. But there are other ways to crown the reception hall. Chocolate fountains add glamor to a reception and will encourage guests to enjoy their dessert. Add below a tray full of fresh fruit and nuts and you have a recipe for tasty fun food! No longer are fountains at weddings relagated to serving up champagne anymore.
