Depending on your perspective, games at a baby shower are either the most fun part or the most annoying part! Either way there are always games at a shower. Here are a few ideas of some fun games to play at the next shower you host!

Guess the baby poop!

Sounds gross, I know! This one is fun and disgusting and will lead to a lot of people making funny faces. Get about 8 baby diapers and the same number of candy bars. Number the diapers 1-8 and write down a corresponding number with each candy bar. Next you cut off hunks of each candy bar and place a different one in each diaper. Put the diapers in the microwave and melt the candybars. At the shower give everyone a piece of paper and pencil. Pass the diapers around so people can look at and smell what is inside each diaper. The guest then guess what each candy bar is and write it on their paper. The guest with the most correct answers wins! A suggested prize might be one of each of the candy bars that were in the diapers!

Baby Shower Bingo

This game requires access to a computer and printer. Make bingo boards and fill in the spots randomly with different baby words - for example - baby, diaper, bottle, blanket, carseat, rattle, binky, booties, crib, etc. Make sure none of the boards are the same! Then make another sheet with all the words listed on it and cut out the words into little strips. Place the cut up words in a hat or bag and at the shower you can play bingo! As the host you just pull the words out and call them. Once someone has all the words in a row they win!

Baby Pin Game

People can get really competative with this game! You need to buy a box of baby diaper pins (try to dollar store). When people arrive at the shower hand them a pin to put on their shirt and tell them the banned word. Examples of words to choose are cute or baby. Then explain to everyone that if one of the other guest catches someone using the banned word then they get to take their pin. The person with the most pins at the end of opening presents get a prize!

Guess the Girth!

This is an old standard that is always fun (although sometimes can make the mom to be wonder if she is approaching the size of a whale!). All you need is some yarn and a pair of scissors. Pass the ball of yarn and scissors around to the guest and they all cut off a length of yarn that they think will fit perfectly around the belly of the mom to be. The person who is closest wins!

What's in the bag?!

The last game is fun and it give the mom to be a few more items to help get ready for baby. You need some brown paper lunch bags and some baby items. The goal here is for people to guess the items in the bags. Each bag is labeled with one of the letters to spell SHOWER or BABY TIME (or another word or words of your choosing). The item in the bag should start with the letter on the bag (that is the hint for everyone playing). People are given a piece of paper with all the letters on it and they can write down their guess as the bags are passed around. Once the game is over all the items in the bag are gifted to the mom to be. I'm sure she will appreciate it!
