After I read Linda Goodman when I was 12 i decided I was the expert on sun signs. In school it used to be a ruling passion to find compatible friends as per sun signs and hope to find ideal soul mates as per them as well.

In the west the scope of astrology is limited by the concept of Sun Signs. The year is divided into 12 sun signs and depending on the region of the sky the sun was in during your birth you get a specific sun sign.

• Sagittarius (November 23 - December 21): Intelligent, straightforward, sometimes careless.
• Capricorn (December 22 - January 20): Prudent, ambitious, sometimes suspicious.
• Aquarius (January 21 - February 19): Humanitarian, unconventional, sometimes detached.
• Pisces (February 20 - March 20): Imaginative, sensitive, sometimes impractical.

Naturally not all traits are found in each person. There are also cusps born with traits of both sun signs. So it is all a very basic view here.

Here's how you calculate your number. Suppose you are born on 8th June 1978. the numbers you need to add are 8 from the date, 6 from the month June and all the digits in the year 1978.

i.e. 8+6+1+9+7+8 = 39

As this is not a single digit and numerology works with digits 1 to 9 we need to reduce it to a single digit.

Now add 3+9=12

Again add 1+2 = 3
