Some young women want to have pretty toes, and so they opt to decorate their toenails with different designs and colors.  You can hire at professional to do this, but that is expensive. With all the available toenail colors and accessories, it is very easy to design your toenails in a unique and fun style in your very own home!  There are plenty of creative nail products to choose from that will help you make your have totally awesome nails. 

One popular nail product is the nail polish pen.  Nail polish pens are being introduced in the market, and these pens come with a precise tip, which will enable you to create beautiful and detailed painting work on your toenails. You can try painting your toenails with one color and you can use a nail polish pen of a contrasting color, so that you can draw pictures on your nails and can make them more visible. You can draw a design of flowers, smiley faces, stripes, etc., all on your toenails!  You can also paint special designs for special occasions (such as black and orange for Halloween, green and red for Christmas, etc.).  They also sell fun semi transparent stickers that you can put on your toes once they are painted!

The French pedicure is the most popular style to paint toenails these days. It is a simple and clean design, which consist of natural colored nail polishes.  However, you can spice up your French pedicure nails a bit by adding a clear glittering sparkles nail polish on top of the final product.     

Another idea is to paint your toenails with multiple colors on the same nail, only divided by straight lines.  You can do this by painting your toenail one color, and then once it dries, adding an adhesive strip (like some kind of tape) over half of the nail.  Then you simply paint another color over your nail, and once it dries you remove the strip.  Do this is many times as you want with as many colors as you want.  You will end up with some pretty crazy designs!  You can also divide your toenail horizontally, vertically and diagonally when making the divisions.

If you would like to go beyond just color variation, you can use nail accessories on your toenails as well. Glittering duplicate gemstones are available at many drugstores with adhesives, so you can just paste these stones on your painted toenails. These gemstones come in different colors and you can select a gemstone of a color will complement your toenail paint color.  This is so that the stone will be visible and it will give an attractive appearance to your nail.        

The most important thing to remember before painting your toenails is to select a design prior to starting the painting work. If you are going to draw something, make sure to go for something simple.  Some simple, cute design ideas are palm trees, hearts, or flowers. It is a good idea to practice the designs on a piece of paper before trying them out on your toenails, so that you will be able to do a better job. If you choose to make a flower design, you can make the center dot of the flower with one color and the petals of the flower with a different color, so that it will look more colorful.

Apart from glittering stones, glittering paints are also available in the market and you can use these paints for your toenails as well. Some nail polishes even come with star glitter, which gives your toenails a really glamorous look.  Try to use an even amount of glitter on each nail.

Before you start painting your toenails, be sure to clean your nails with soap and water, and only start painting once your nails are totally dry. If there is any nail polish left over from your last application, make sure your remove it before you start on your new application.  Also be sure to add a good basecoat to your toenails, and once they are fully dry, then you can proceed to add a coat of nail polish.  Be sure to use name brand professional nail products when painting your toenails for best results. 

If you opt for going to beauty parlor for painting your nails, ask for a catalog of different designs they have to offer so that you can select a style that suits your taste and preference. If you decide painting toenails at home is a better option, all you need is a little practice and you're set!  Obviously, this is the route I recommend taking. ;)
