Here are a list of drinks that are fun and easy to make when you're hosting your next party. Some have dirty names and that's even more fun. Knowing how to make a few go-to cocktails (and what you need for them) is always good information to have, even if it's just to answer a Jeopardy question.

Drink mixing is all about proportions. A four count (think one and two and three and four) will be roughly one shot, if you're using a pour top, and this will help you to mix drink ingredients in the right ratio.

For a Margarita the magic formula is 3 parts tequila, 1 part triple sec, lime juice, sour mix, and a splash of OJ. If you want to go frozen, purchase a mix, and follow the directions on the box/container, and omit the sour mix, lime juice, and splash of OJ.

Tequila Sunrise= 4 parts tequila, one part grenadine, and OJ to fill the glass.

Kamikaze= 2 parts vodka, 1 part triple sec, 1 part lime juice, 1 part sour mix

Long Island Iced Tea= 1 part vodka, 1 part gin, 1 part tequila, 1 part rum, 4 parts sour mix, splash of coke on top

Long Beach=1 part vodka, 1 part gin, 1 part tequila, 1 part run, equal parts sour mix and cranberry juice

Swedish Fish= 1 part Blackhaus, 1 part amaretto, 1 part cranberry juice, 1 part sour mix

Jolly Rancher= 1 part vodka, 1 part melon, 1 part apple pucker, 1 part cranberry juice

Dirty Girlscout=1 part vodka, 1 part Bailey's, 1 part Kahlua, 1 part creme de menthe

Royal Flush= 1 part Crown Royal, 1 part peach schnapps, 1 part cranberry juice

Rockey Mt. MF=1 part Southern Comfort, 1 part amaretto, 1 part lime juice

Washington Apple= 1 part Crown Royal, 1 part apple pucker, 1 part cranberry juice

White Russian= 1 part Kahlua, 1 part vodka, 2-3 parts cream, half and half, or milk

Mongolian MF= splash vodka, splash tequila, splash gin, splash rum, splash amaretto, splash peach, splash so co, splash grenadine, splash sloe gin, splash OJ, splash Bacardi 151, splash cranberry juice .

Redheaded Slut= 1 part Jagermeister, 1 part peach, 1 part cranberry

Blondheaded Slut= 1 part Grand Marnier, 1 part peach, 1 part pineapple

Pineapple Upside-down cake=1 part vanilla vodka, 1 part amaretto, 1 part pineapple juice, shake, sink a small bit of grenadine to layer, by pouring down the edge of the glass.

Undertow= 1 part vodka, 1 part blue curacao, 1 part pineapple juice, 1 part sour mix shake and pour, sink a small amount of razzmatazz to layer, by pouring down the edge of the glass.

Cosmopolitan= 3 parts vodka, 1 part triple sec, 1 part lime juice, and 3 parts cranberry juice.
