Seeing how I have been laid off since April of 09, and not knowing just what the future holds for my job. I decided to venture into an online business. After looking and searching I came across a site that was featuring guaranteed $125 in 24hrs. I checked it out myself and thru the BBB and came up with the conclusion that GDI/APS was going to be my baby. I joined the People Search Engine and chose the hosting thru GDI. So now i have just made $125 with the free advertising that Tissa has given me to give me a head start into this venture. Now seeing how my bankroll (Vegas slang) was short in stature, I had to go the route of free advertising. I started with free website submissions by just searching them online, and believe me when I tell you there are over a million of them. I submit to a couple a day and then resubmit again after 30 days. My site has climbed over 50,000 positions in over 2 and 1/2 months without SEO or any tricks. it should fully propagate in 4 to 6 months, which means it will go even higher in the search engines on its own.

Now that I have my site submitted, there are many avenues to promote your site for free. Classified Ads, Blogs, Traffic Exchanges, Social Networks, Referral Links that you get from GDI/APS, just to name a few. You can see how your ads are doing by clicking on them and they will have stats to see how many views there has been and some show how many times it was clicked on. By all means change up the wording and phrases to see how they respond.

When you first sign up for GDI you can invite your friends by email to watch your presentation and this is a great way to build your downline and get more people into your business because there is a bonus program that is pretty cool. For every 5 signups you have under you in a week you receive $100. 10 in one week $200, and so on. Not only that for every member you have, you receive $1 per downline member a month. If you have 70 in your downline, you receive $70@monthresidual income. This is where I received my first downline member.

Now after sending out a lot of ads, I would say bear minimum 1 a day if not more. They don't take that long and they produce results. This is how I received my second downline member. So you really don't have to spend money to make money!!! I am sticking with classified ads right now to promote for free and also getting into different free avenues such as Hub Pages and writing blogs. There is also Squidoo Lenses which I have not taken a look at at this time. I will be updating this hub page with new ideas and things i find to help us all out in our ventures online.

Going forward I am finding a lot of new things out there to help promote your site and it's still free. There is one thing I have heard a lot of is YOU MUST HAVE A LIST. There are a lot of list building sites out there that offer free list building and I have seen a lot of them on different pages all over the net. List Quick is one I have tried and you can send out a couple hundred free email ads at this site to get the ball rolling. I also have checked out Virul URL and they have a great feature that will protect your affiliate links called link cloaker. I never thought of anyone stealing my affiliate ID but i guess it's right there for GOD and everyone else to see. I suggest checking out the site and cloaking your links. Again it is also free with videos to help you thru the sign up and set up. They also offer affiliate links so there is a money opportunity there for all of us to take advantage of.

The bottom line is you need to do your home work before you go out and get frustrated and give up. Even the professional guru's have had there day in the sun before they struck it rich. Remember to set up a routine and stick to it. Make an agenda and follow thru with it. Every day send out an ad and soon you will have a couple of hundred out there circulating on the net and someone is going to like what you have to offer. Then they tell their friends and soon you have more free advertising called word of mouth. Until next time. Kevin
