GPS Vehicle Tracking
78The GPS vehicle tracking systems reviewed below will do many different things for you, depending on what you want done. Although they often aren't marketed specifically to the "watchful" parent, this is a very popular use. Not only can you identify where your teenager is at any given time, but you can also know what speed they're driving too. But the most popular use of these GPS vehicle tracking devices is to let you to know if your car is being tampered with or even stolen. The best ones will instantly send you both a text message and an e-mail when its sensor indicates there is foul play.
Business owners like to use GPS vehicle tracking in order to keep track of where their fleets are during the day (or night). Are you suspicious that one of your drivers is stopping over at his girlfriend's when he's supposed to be going straight to a delivery drop-off? Well, there's one way to find out for sure.
Obviously there are some privacy concerns with tracking a vehicle, but if you own a business that involves having business cars or trucks you have a right to know where the business property is. And to address the privacy concern you can let all employees know the business vehicles have a GPS vehicle tracking device in them.
If you are monitoring your kids' driving activities, you have every right and responsibility to do whatever you can to protect them. In this case too you may want to have a conversation with them first. Just think: when they grow up and become parents they'll probably have full-on 3D video and audio installed in their teenagers' vehicles!
GPS Snitch KIT-0001-AB
Here is a true winner in the field. This is a GPS vehicle tracking system that has won rave reviews. One thing it has going for it is that it only debuted in October of 2008. That means you can expect to have better technology than some other similar devices. The Snitch "Kit" is currently the best-selling item in the Vehicle & Fleet GPS Trackers section of Amazon.
This unit is simply a great, reliable way to keep track of whatever is going on with your car. It works in real-time and has a GPS Security Perimeter function which automatically notifies you of any mischief, no matter where you are. It's a great silent alternative to a car alarm. In fact, it is even better than just an alternative because of all the additional features that it offers.

Beacon GPS Tracking System
This vehicle tracking system looks a little different than our others. First of all it is also relatively new having come out in December 2008. Second of all, it's quite cheap, which sometimes can be a warning signal, but this one is worth considering. There are still some good deals out there! Anyway, let's have a look.
This GPS vehicle tracking will work with both Google Earth and Google Maps. This is a great functionality which you will see increasingly in all GPS units as time goes on.
It will connect through a USB port and as you can see is very stealth, or covert. There is definitely something to be said for a smaller, non-noticeable tracking device if you do not want the driver to know they are being watched!

Zoombak ZMBK200 Family GPS Vehicle Tracker
This is a cheap GPS vehicle tracking device. Zoombak is well-known in the industry, and has many different GPS products. This one currently goes for only around $100. I suspect its popularity is due more to its price than its superiority. Surely the SNITCH KIT is a better product. But maybe this is all you need.
This GPS vehicle tracking device can be installed permanently in your vehicle, or you can keep it portable and move it from your car to your motorcycle or bicycle etc.
There are some mixed reviews of this product. Of the complaints listed customer service seems to be a common one. However some people have been quite happy with the product and the service.
So, what are the bright spots here other than the price? You'll get a low monthly tracking fee of about $15. Some brands, like TomTom charge in the range of $50.

The World's Smallest GPS Vehicle Tracking Device: P-Trac Micro
At two inches wide and only one inch thick, the P-Trac Micro from KJB Security bills itself as the "smallest GPS tracker in the world." Is this true? Well, I have never seen a smaller one, I'll tell you that. But how does it perform? After all, it's got a bit of a hefty price tag.
This GPS tracking devices claims to be small but powerful. It doesn't require a direct line of sight with the open sky in order to work. In fact is is supposed to work indoors as well as outdoors by using a combination of cellular signals and GPS technology.
Their service plan doesn't require a long term commitment, like many others do. They offer 3 different service plan options so you can pick the one that fits your needs best.
