GPS Software for Smart Phones
66Software for Smart Phones
Your Smart Phone does more than you may think. You can download software to your fancy- schmancy cell phone to allow for more usage of your phone. You may be like me and just like the look and feel of some of the smart phone designs and not really use the iternet features.
Well, download cool software onto your phone and you'll get more usage out of it.
Some smart phones come with GPS already downloaded on the phone, but others do not. Most of the new editions and generations, yes, but sometimes the cheaper, older versions are jsut as good for your personal use. But, you can still add the GPS function to your phone.
You will still need to purchase some kind of package with your cell phone company in order to use the software, but $9 a month at Cingular isn't too bad.
GPS Software
Make sure that you have Microsoft Mobile on your smart phone, or you'll have problems running the GPS software. You can purchase Microsoft Mobile on GPS Pilot when you purchase your GPS software. The website offers TipPilot, Fly, Tracker, Atlas, and Compass softwares. TripPilot offers driving directions on the interactive map. Fly offers pre- and in- flight navigation tools. Tracker does just that, it tracks and logs your navigation system. Atlas is a digital atlas, and Compass is a ive, digital compass.

In the smart phone edition of the Pocket PC website, you'll find GPS software that you can download right to your smart phone. Check out 'Directions on the Go' and 'Pocket Streets.'
