A world without music is just a shame and not having the right gadgets to enjoy your music is just a bummer. As a music lover myself, it's important for me to have the necessary gadgets to get the most out of the music listening experience. There are many great gadgets out there that are made to store your music, play your music and move your music but not everyone has a lot of money to throw around.

This guide is an all inclusive guide for music lovers including places to get music, cool gadgets and tips for the music lover on budget. No matter the size of your pocket or passion for music this guide is for you!

Gadgets: Mp3 Players

The market is flooded with portable music players for cd players to Mp3 players. Cd players only have one thing going for them and that's price other then that they are going become as obsoletes as floppy disks, cassette tapes and vhs tapes. Mp3 players can hold GB(GigaBytes) of music, have a small and compact design not to mention you can take them any where you go from your home, office, school or car. I know as a music lover it's important for me to have my music no matter where I go.

Apple is the idustry leader when it comes to portable music. They have created a sleuth of mp3 players ranging from the pint size iPod shuffle to the iPod Touch.

iPod Shuffle

This little guy can hold from 1GB to 2GB worth of music. Not to mention they come in various colors for every personality. But the only problem with the shuffle is there is no screen. So can't pick which song you want without shuffling through your music to find it. But the best thing the shuffle has going for is its price tag. 1GB shuffle is a small $49 and the 2GB is $69. This player is trully economical.

iPod Nano

Now this compact fellow can hold much more then the shuffle, with the option of 4GB and 8GB, not to mention you can also add video to this player. So now you can put your favorite music videos, shows and music all on one player. But the only disadvantage to this is tiny for watching videos. Now this player ranging from $149 for the 4GB to $199 for the 8GB. A moderately priced product.

iPod Classic

Now for the true music lover the iPod Classic is perfect. It can hold tons of music and I mean tons. The player options are 80GB or 160GB which roughly translates into 20,000 or 40,000 songs. The screen on this player is a littler larger but still small. If you have a ton of music like me this is essential. Now this player is definately expensive with a price tag of $249 for the 80GB and $349 for 160GB player. A higher-end product.

iPod Touch

If you got money to burn then have it with the iPod Touch. This player is basically the iPhone without the calling cabalities. The capacity for music is more then the Shuffle or Nano but less then the Classic. A few good things about this player it has Wi-fi capabilities like the iPhone so you can get on the internet to check your email or the news while listening to our music. It's screen is also bigger then all the other players so it's better for watching videos. This player comes in three capacities with three different prices tags. 8GB is $299, 16GB is $399, and 32GB is $499.

Now there are many different players by many different companies including Microsoft who makes the Zune. But Apple is by far the best when comes to portable music players and not to mention they have Apple Care which protects your product for certain amount of years depending on which one you purchase. Apple Care is additional and not included in the price of any of the players.

Getting Music

What about getting music? There are hundreds of sites that you can download from including iTunes, Napster, LimeWire, Kazaa, etc. It's your choice. You can burn all of your favorite cds and add them to your player without even having to scower the web for music. I buy a lot of my music from iTunes because I can preview the file before I buy it. I don't have to buy an entire album if I only like one song and it's $0.99 a song. That's not so bad. In the end it's up to where you get your music.

The Best Gadget Ever...

Pandora! That's right the best gadget to have is Pandora. Well technically it's not really a gadget it's a website that plays music without commercials sounds to good to be true right? Oh it is. Pandora allows you create radio stations with music that you like. Even better you can specific artists, songs and genres of your choosing. You can trash songs you don't like and put songs on the "shelf' for a month if you get tired of one.

Pandora is the ultimate music gadget. I can gurantee that you'll find music you like and you may even discover some. This is my go to place for searching for new music on the web. Whether it's Country or J-Pop, Pandora has you covered.
