One of my birthday gifts from my girlfriend was a Playstation Portable (PSP) gadget, and I have been a fan for Sony’s Playstation products.

So it was a really cool gift, and I can’t help but feel happy about it.

Loving girlfriends and wives out there, maybe you should check this gadget out too for your boyfriend or husband.

Gadgets for men: Handheld Gaming System: PSP 3000

My PSP was an older version; they call it PSP 2000. However, in stores today PSP 3000 comes with a new built-in camera, alittle sleeker, and has a even better screen display resolution than the older one.

What makes PSP so cool and powerful is that their screen display technology has been over the top for many years in the area of handheld gadgets.

There are so many handheld gadgets out in the market, and some handheld gadgets are specialised in playing videos or more, but many isn’t even worth mentioning in their screen display capabilities.

So PSP not only allows users to play handheld games, it also allows video playback. This is particularly useful when your boyfriend or husband is out travelling, or away for some reason, and they can keep themselves from boredom during their trip with a variety of things to do.

Tip: If you have a video between you and your boyfriend, you can always load it into the PSP memory stick (please ensure that it is in the correct format for PSP), and while he is out travelling he may just playback some of these videos he has with you.

Pictures do work well for PSP, however nobody buys PSP to store pictures.

Other functions for PSP

As you can clearly see, PSP 3000/2000 allows users to tap on wireless networks for the Internet. And with PSP 3000’s built in microphone, Skype is possible.

However it is not easy to type letters into the PSP, because there is no keyboard, and you just have to get used to using the buttons and the D-pad.

Well, we can’t complain, because PSP wasn’t really built for Internet surfing anyway; it’s just an additional functionality.

Nevertheless, it is still a very useful and irreplacable function to have.

Other tips and advice

You can’t really go wrong about buying a PSP, because its variety of functionality is just great for anybody.

Moreover, unlike digital cameras where you have to think about the specifications and what model to buy, there is only different versions of PSP that you can choose from and this saves you from many dilemmas.

Tip: Try to get a great looking color when you buy a PSP. It adds value to the gadget

Red looks good for a PSP in my opinion, but well it varies with different people’s taste.

You could buy accessories for your boyfriend or husband, however if you are not too keen into researching about what kind of protective covers you should get, what sort of accessories will be useful or more, leave it to your boyfriend or husband to go treasure hunting themselves.

They will just be very pleased to have such a cool looking gadget.

Final words for this hub

For Singaporeans, since the males have to go through National Service (it is our duty to serve in army for approximately 2 years), a PSP is one of the top choices for a gift because it is an ideal entertainment device.

So many of my friends just desired to get a PSP when they are called for National Service.

And if your boyfriend or husband is going through a similar situation, then this is definitely a must buy for your boyfriend or husband.

That’s it for this hub. Stay tuned for more boyfriend gift ideas!
