Don't you just love Halloween and all the spooky, scary recipes you can cook up for Halloween. And when you hear Gargoyle Tongues and Lumberjack Fingers it brings to mind all kinds of spook-tacular things and before long you'll be listening for things that go bump in the night.And checking behind doors and in the shower to make sure there's not a monster or two hiding there in the house with you.
Do you know that the reason Gargoyles were placed on top of buildings was to keep away evil spirits and all kinds of other evil things. But here were going to teach you how to make delicious Gargoyle tongues that your sure to enjoy.
To make your Gargoyle Tongues you will need.
4 Flour Tortillas
1 Teaspoon Ground Cumin
1 Cup Mexican Shredded Cheese
1 Cup Ripe Olives
1 Cup Salsa
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees
Rub your cumin lightly over the flour tortillas and rub gently to lightly coat your tortillas. Cut each of your flour tortillas into 4 pieces.
Now you want to spray your baking pan with non stick cooking spray. Arrange your wedges on your baking sheet and sprinkle a coating of the Mexican shredded cheese on each tortilla piece. Now put a spoon of salsa on top of the cheese on each tortilla piece. Now sprinkle the olives on. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted thoroughly.
Serve your gargoyle fingers with side dishes of sour cream, salsa, and guacamole.
Now lets make our lumberjack fingers.
Yes they are supposed to look like cut off over size fingers. If your having a party for teenage or older children turn the living room into a movie theater and show the movie " Texas Chainsaw Massacre " If you have not seen it I will tell you that its a very spooky movie guaranteed to give you chills and make you hurry back from a trip to the kitchen or bathroom.
For your lumberjack fingers your going to need.
8 Small Size Sandwich Rolls
4 Cheese Filled Hot-dogs or Sausages
Radishes
Ketchup
Use something like a wooden spoon handle to push a 2 inch deep hole into the end of each sandwich roll. Just 2 inches now. Don't push all the way through. Cut each Hot Dog or Sausage in half across the middle and cut a notch in each end to hold your radish fingernail. Squirt a bit of ketchup into each hole you made and then insert your hot dog or sausage. Attach your radish fingernails and serve more ketchup for dipping.
