Not only for food, For painting too!! This is what the people who watched the launching of the worlds very first Garlic Painting exhbit in december 15-19, 2008 in the Municipal Plaza sponsored by the Guimba Tourism Office. On the said event, G. Mark Lawrence Libunao's paintings are featured

In the theme "Enchansing Gimbanian's Talent through Tourism", The town of Guimba expect the event to give inspiration to other Guimbanian so they can release their own talent not only in art but also in farming, merchandising , public service and many more

Like Mark, while helping his parents sell noodle called "lomi" in their small restaurant at Guimba, Mark the garlic does not only give more flavor and color to their lomi, garlic can also be a special ingridient in painting artworks

According to Mark, he is dedicating to his family and country any awards and achievement he may possibly recieve when the world will show attention in his great talent. Mark is in his 5th year in studying Architecture and he is living with his parents and sister at Sta Lucia, Guimba. GMA7 (one of the leading tv station in the ohilippines) is the first to discover his garlic painting and is immidiately televised in the tv program "Jessica Soho Report" and soon his works reached the "Ripley's Believe It or Not" and now the world is ready to see him

Paintings

Mark's paintings are in 2 categories, Masterpice and commercial. Masterpiece are those that has a deep meaning oftenly about the Philippines because he is a loyal filipino. Comercial paintings are those that he made just to add to his collection of paintings and has lower pricing than the masterpieces

He has invented some new technique in painting that he used specially in painting using garlic oil, Unlike normal paint, Garlic oil needs to be dried first so the next layer of paint can be applied to darken the color. Garlic oil is really hard to make because it needs about a kilo of garlic only to make 4 ounce of garlic oil. We cannot yet reveal how to make it but soon he will personally teach us over the internet.

About The Garlic Oil

The color of garlic paint is dark brown but if you put in in the canvas, it will turn into collor yellow which turn brown when you apply more paint into it but you have to wait the first layer to dry before you can apply another one. It smeels more like coffee and is edible, but i wound not dare to taste it again if i were you, actually you can use it in your food. Theres a special formula on how to make it, what the good part is, you do not need other ingridients. all you need is garlic. next time i am going to make another hub on how to make this garlic oil and teach you how to.

i will soon be writing "how to make garlic oil" on hubpages, please visit hubpages more often
