Garlic also appear to help to reduce high blood pressure and therefore offers some protection against heart attacks and other circulatory problems such as strokes.
Allicin is the component in garlic that has the beneficial effects, allicin is produced only when fresh garlic is cut, crushed or heated. Great article Len.
Here is a 177 page ebook, that has benefits to over 64 medical conditions using garlic (allicin), including research to back it up.The book is called "Allicin & Ginger, Nature's Power Healers", by Peter Josling. You can download it FREE at http://www.superimmune.org/colleen. The website also has some great links about MRSA & other drug resistant infections that Allicin is helpful with.
Best Wishes,
Colleen
