Selecting a good Gas permeable contact lenses

Here are a few tips and advice about Gas permeable contact lenses and how to search the internet for the best deals.

The reason I’m writing this article is that I have a astigmatism and I use toric lenses but for so long the lenses still moved in my eyes causing my sight to waiver. The optician said to me a while ago that using Gas permeable contact lenses will most likely fix the situation as they are more solid and will rotate less hence giving much improve vision.

Now most people will use soft contact lenses so Gas permeable contact lenses are the lesser known category there are also know as RGP rigid gas permeable or oxygen permeable lenses.

Now these lenses must not be confused with the old hard contact lenses which was like made out of glass anyway whether they were or not they pretty much obsolete unless they selling in china or Russian in a back alleys.

These newer GP contact lenses were first delivered to the market in the 70’s there are made of silicones which enable increase flexibility , furthermore these lenses were oxygen permeable meaning oxygen can pass through the lenses meaning more comfort to you the user and always keep your eyes in better health.

There are GP contact lenses today that transmit 4 times the oxygen that traditional soft lenses uses.

Now some of the bad point about GP contact lenses is they are uncomfortable and take time to get used to , I have experience that however after 2 weeks I did find they getter better , now some people will get use to them straight away my friend mam who is a teacher swears by them they sort her astigmatism out plus she can wear them for long hours.

The benefits of Gas permeable lenses

They made of more solid material so they don’t break as easily plus they have no water retention and lipids that oily outer layer that keeps the eyes motorise adhere on the lense which usually cause uncomfortably in soft lenses.

• Individuals who are very fussy about the quality of their vision (me)

• Some people with astigmatism for whom soft contacts don't produce quality sight.

• People who have a condition called keratoconus, where the cornea is cone-shaped and causes extreme visual distortion.

Gas permeable contact lenses can also provide better vision, durability, and deposit resistance than soft contact lenses. They can be easier to clean, and since they're long-lasting, they can be less expensive in the long term than soft lenses.

From experience I will say try out the GP lenses you can find many sites online that provides more in-depth tips and advice on the lenses I recommend this as after all its your eye that you talking about I did countless of research before I was comfortable getting some. Also online you can get some great deals you should check them out then maybe ask you opticians that what I done.

There also some new on the market which gives the of both world the soft and the Gas permeable contact lenses called SynergEyes lens

The synergeyes contact lens were which was FDA-approved in 2005. These contact lens, combines a GP centre with a soft outer ring; this will enable users the comfort of a soft lens and the visual acuity of a Gas permeable contact lenses I will talk about this in another post.
