Gateway To Wealth

This past weekend I attended an Internet Marketing event that was hosted by Gary Ambrose and Keith Wellman. The event was not promoted heavily and was mainly for the people who were Gary and Keith's "preferred" customers. That means people who have purchased products or services from them in the past.

The cool part was that as a "preferred" customer, my price of admission was $0.

Yes, I said $0 as in Free! How could a resist an offer like that?

I couldn't, especially since the event was in Orlando, which is only a 2 and a half hour drive from where I live. Of course, I would have travelled much further to see the following people speak.

If you don't know who some of these people are, you can go here to read a little more about them. All in all it was one of the most informative weekends that I have ever had. Mike Filsaime showing up to reveal his new product was only one reason I was glad that I made the trip.

If you are an aspiring Internet marketer, going to one of these events is a must. These are the people that are your future peers. That is...unless you don't plan on being successful. These are the people who are going to be your future business and joint venture partners. You need to meet them and start learning from them. You need to start thinking like them. They are the people that are making the money in this field so obviously they do know what they are doing.

You also get a chance to meet other people that are in the same boat as you. I met several people that I am probably going to do some joint ventures with and a young lady that has a "goal setting" website is going to interview me about how I have lost 50 lbs this year and let me plug my weight loss blog.

I think I finally found a programmer that is affordable and is able to do the things that I need in a timely fashion. I was also able to talk to a couple of software developers that told me it would be very easy and affordable to create some software that I have been dreaming up that should help me extract some healthy profits from a high dollar niche :)

Aside from everything I mentioned above. The live events are where you can gain access to the coaching and mentoring programs that the majority of these online millionaires offer. There are also certain products that they only sell at live events and the general public will never see. You can also get some of their high dollar items at a significant discount.

I hope you can see the extreme value that is at these events. I got to talk with several of the speakers and pick their brains a little bit. I don't know for sure yet but I think that I have also laid the ground work for a couple of telephone interviews that I will use to create content for one of my products. I got the idea from Keith Wellman.

I got the opportunity to speak with him for a few minutes and he told me how he created his first product "List FX", which changed his life forever. List FX is a collection of taped interviews with famous Internet marketing celebrities. He met these people at ...you guessed it... an online event and got them to agree to do an hour interview on the phone at a later date.

He then had the interviews transcribed into PDF format and offered the audios and PDF's for $9.95. He told me that when he was on the phone doing the interviews, he asked the various gurus if they would promote his product to their lists when he launched his product. They agreed and he told me that after that launch, he has never had to worry about money again.

Of course there was a little bit more involved to make it an even bigger success. He offered 100% commissions to his affiliates. Why would he do that you ask? To build his opt in list. Even though the affiliates get the proceeds of the sale, it's Keith's opt in form that they fill out when they download their product.

Another thing that he did was to put together "The List FX Official Manual" and offered it as an upsell for $147. It also includes videos showing you how to set up a hosting account, auto-responders , and other tutorials that would help a beginning Internet marketer.

All in all, a nice little nugget and another reason why you should attend a live event. Keep reading because I saved the best for last. You never know what they have in store for you at these seminars. I thought getting to talk with Keith and having Mike Filsaime show up was pretty cool but that was nothing compared to what happened at the end of the first day.

How much money would you pay to sit in on a master mind group with some of the world's best Internet marketers and they would answer any questions you had and give you advice? Keep in mind that every one of them has made millions of dollars online and offline in their businesses.

Do you think that would be worth the price of admission, a plane ticket, and a couple nights at a hotel? I think most people wouldn't have a problem with that. I am not saying that is what happens at all of the events, but it is what happened at the Gateway to Wealth on Friday afternoon, August 1st.

Talk about your unexpected bonuses. That hour and a half made up for any money and time that I had invested in the weekend. You don't get opportunities like that very often, and you never will experience something like that sitting at home in front of your computer.

Moral of the story: "Get off your ass and get to live event!"

It doesn't matter what your field of endeavor is. You need to surround yourself with successful people in your field is you want to emulate their success. You need the same mind set that they have if you are going to rise to their level.
