This genealogy program is for windows and supports 12 languages. You can add all generations of your family and photos into this program.

Free PAF Family history Software http://www.familysearch.org/

This is a free PAF program, which allows you to organize and share your family history.

There are many free programs like above. If these do not appeal to you then type into your browsers search- Free downloadable genealogy program and hit the enter key. It will give you many more options. Some programs may say free, and then when you download it, it will have a section, which says: if you pay extra. Do not be tempted to buy when there is no need.

You need to obtain proof that people are actual family members and to do this you will need certificates. There is a charge to obtain copies of Birth, Death and Marriage certificates. You may find some people are very hard to find, therefore you could need the assistance of a researcher. These charge a nominal fee.

Before downloading any programs, joining any mailing lists or message boards connected to family history, check to make sure your virus software is updated.
