Writing Content Quickly versus Outsourcing

If you are in the business of creating content for websites that belong to you or to other people, chances are you need to generate content quickly in order to do well and achieve all of the goals you have set for yourself as a writer and/or business owner. There are a few different ways to accomplish this objective.

For example, one way to create content fast is to outsource much of the content that you need written to reliable freelance writers. It can take some time to get a handle on the outsourcing business and to find some freelancers that you want to work with time and again. But if you have some money to invest and if your time is very precious to you, then outsourcing at least some content might be a good path for you to take. Of course you don’t have to outsource all of your content. You may want to outsource some of it and do some of it yourself. That is your call, of course. Some people like to “dip a toe” into the world of outsourcing before totally “taking the plunge.”

The Importance of Research

If you are not wild about the idea of outsourcing at all, that’s okay too, because there are other ways to generate content fast. For instance, you can focus on writing about subjects you know very well as opposed to writing about subjects that you don’t know as well and that you need to research. As you can well imagine, when you write mainly about what you know, you tend to write with more confidence and authority and you are typically able to write content on familiar topics quite a bit faster.

If you choose to write about subjects that you don’t know quite as well, you can still generate content quickly if you make sure to do your research first. The key is to take good notes on your research so that when the time comes to create the actual content you have a lot of raw material upon which to base your content.

Avoid Mistakes

Of course, when generating content quickly, people can sometimes get a little sloppy, which can end up backfiring on them. This means that just because you create content in a rapid manner, you will still need to proofread it, revise it and make sure that it meets your standards for quality content.

There is one more path to consider, and that is the following: You can start out by creating your own content and then you can gradually start to outsource some or all of that content creation. Of course, you will want to “shop around” a bit if you are considering outsourcing work to freelancers as a means of generating content quickly either now or at a future point in your online writing career.

As you can see, there is no one set path. What works for one person in terms of generating content quickly might not work as well for someone else. You just need to find the method that works for you and not worry too much about what other people are doing to create their own content quickly.
