Genital Warts or venereal warts is an obvious sign of (HPV) genital human papilloma virus infection. Genital warts appear after viral particles containing the human papilloma virus penetrate skin tissue and deeper into the mucosal layers through microscopic abrasions in the genital area. It is very easy to become infected with genital warts. One single sexual encounter can result in having this sexually transmitted disease for the rest of your life. It can occur at any age and is extremely contagious. They can be very tiny or can spread into large masses. They are actually benign tumors of the epidermis.The size of genital warts vary. They can appear to be less than one millimeter to several centimeters across. In some cases of genital warts they appear as painless bumps, itching, and discharge. Common ages for individuals to have genital warts is ages 17 to 33 years old. Genital warts is a difficult disease to manage. It often takes a lot out of a person suffering from this disease. Genital warts being a sexually transmitted disease come with a lot of judgement and negative feeling when a person tells other people about their condition.

It is a very scary and dangerous disease. Genital warts or venereal warts is a sexually transmitted disease. There are about 40 types of HPV or human papilloma viruses which causes genital warts to appear. Two of the most common types of human papilloma viruses that causes genital warts or venereal warts is types 6 and type 11. There are certain types of HPV or human papilloma viruses which are known to cause cancer. The risk increases for women who can easily contract HPV strands which mutate into cervical cancer. In men, the risk increases for penis cancer. Women are at a higher risk to develop cancer from genital warts or venereal warts than men. The most common types of HPV or human papilloma virus that increases the risk of developing cancer are types 16, 18, 31, and 45. Anyone who happens to have sexual contact with an individual who is infected with genital warts generally develops the disease within three or so months. Sometimes it takes months to years for before any signs of genital warts may appear. In some cases of genital warts or venereal warts bleeding may start or the obstruction of the area where urine exits the body causing for immediate medical attention.
