Geo Challenge Game Tips Tricks

Geo challenge is a game on facebook you can play and compare the scores with your friends. It is really fun to try to beat your friend's score.

As the name say it all, the game is about geography, but do you need to be good in geography to play this game? Well, not really, you can learn as you play, knowledge about geography will sure be a plus though. So this is really a game of memory and fast mouse skill.

The game has three mini games in it that is World Tour, European Tour and US Tour. You need to pay $4.99 to be able to play the European Tour while US Tour is not yet available.

In the World Tour game, there are 4 parts:

Suitcase Shuffle In this part of the game, you will need to choose the correct flag for the country name shown at the top of the game screen.

The first 4 set has 3 flags to choose from, the rest has 6 flags to choose from.

The game will eliminate 2 flags for 2 times when you haven't punch in your answer.

Map Mayhem This is where you are given a shape of a country and you need to choose which country it is.

The game will show the map around that country to help you answer the question.

City Blitz In City Blitz, you will see a complete world map. A name of a city will appear at the top of the game screen and you have to punch a needle, by clicking your mouse at the location of that city.

When you don't know the answer, the game will help you by giving the name of the country where the city is located.

Landmark Loco Just like City Blitz, but instead of a city name, you will see a picture of a landmark around the world and you have to click where the landmark is located.

To help you answer this part, the name of the city will appear after some time.

All the game part has 60 seconds time limit to start with, you will get extra 5 seconds for every 10 correct answers.

Currently you can only play geo challenge on Facebook. After you register and login at Facebook, go to http://apps.facebook.com/geochallenge/gameinfo?pf_ref=x1011 to install Geo Challenge.

• This game result will depend on other things beside your skill. Out of which are: your internet speed, computer speed, mouse speed. So make sure you have the best setting for those speed. You can change your mouse setting at the control panel of your computer (Windows).
• This game use flash so it is important to have the current flash player installed in your computer. To get the latest flash player, click here.
• Try using different browser to find out which one is faster for you.
• Close any other application to make sure your computer resources give the best to your current browser.
• You can try to play the game without any sound, and see if that give you higher score since you can focus on the game and not distracted by the sound when the timer count down beep telling you the time will end soon
• Try to change your monitor screen resolution, some people find it easier to play with lower screen resolution. 

• Make your flash player at low quality. You can do this from your game screen by clicking on the eye icon at the top left.
• Always put your mouse cursor at the middle of your game screen everytime after you answer a question. As it will be easier to reach anywhere when you start in the center of the game screen.
• The game score are progressive, there are certain point where the base score increase. The base score will reset when your answer is wrong. So it is better to answer late but correct than fast but wrong.
• In City Blitz and Landmark Loco, there are 3 types of scoring: Fair, Good and Perfect. You will get most points when you hit perfect and lowest point when you hit Fair. 

After following all the tips above, the rest is about practice.

You don't have to know what country the flag belong to, or where the city is located, but after playing the game for some times, you will know, and you will remember.

So keep practicing untill you can answer all the questions. Then practice to do it more quickly.

Remember, this is a game of memory and mouse skill!
