George Bush's Terrible Legacy
All murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets. – Voltaire
Never has a president of the United States been engaged in as many outright, verifiable lies that have taken down our country in economic power, prestige, honor, and morality as the younger George Bush. So many people do not understand that George Bush was a part of the neocon takeover of the Republican Party.
Even conservatives such as Pat Buchanan have called the neocons the war party because of 1. their invasion of Iraq for oil, and 2. for their provocation of the only other super power, Russia. Clearly Russia was provoked by Georgia the nation. Clearly there were signals from neocons in the US government that this attack on ethnic Russians in the breakaway provinces in Georgia was a correct course of action. Even though innocent people on their own land were killed, Georgia remained defiant.
The real issue regarding what has already occured in our direct influence is the invasion of Iraq. The neocon party, within the Republican Party, determined to enter the middle east prior to the election of George Bush. This intervention was established through the lies of nukes and WMD in Iraq under Saddam, and through the lie of a Saddam/Al Qaida connection. The problem with this was that these have been proven to be false, with Bush admitting as much!
And the neocon desire to go into Iraq was made possible by the lies of Mr. Bush. Paul Wolfowitz, who was the architect of the Iraq War fostered the lies for Mr. Bush. While he fostered the lies, Wolfowitz was talking in Europe about Iraq swimming on a sea of oil! Wolfowitz said that it was a bureaucratic decision to decide to use the reason of WMD as the reason for going into Iraq.Indeed, Wolfowitz believed that the policy of the United States should be to let the elite lie to the masses.
Leo Strauss, the Evil Guru of Neoconservative thought
This elite lying to the masses dogma was based upon the philosophy of Leo Strauss, who taught that you respect the shell of democracy but lie to the masses. Wolfowitz was a student of this amoral monster at the University of Chicago. I believe in separation of church and state but that leaders should be moral, and not out of touch with any concept of right and wrong. The neocons were empire building with no heed to whether what they were doing was right or whether it was wrong.
Another follower of Strauss was Irving Kristol, father of William Kristol of Fox News. William Kristol, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Wolfowitz, Jeb Bush and so many other neocons formed a group called the Project for the New American Century, or PNAC. They sought the invasion of the middle east PRIOR to the election of George Bush! They wanted the oil for our oil companies and for the British oil companies who trade in the United States. Bush voided the original oil contracts soon after the invasion and gave many lucrative reserves to our oil companies. Even Greenspan of the fed counseled Bush to secure the oil ministry first thing.
The Diabolical Plan of 911
In order to move the American people to support the war in the middle east, PNAC called for a PEARL HARBOR like event, in writing, in 2000. My personal opinion is that PNAC people facilitated 9/11, and did much more than just pine for the "event". I believe that there were explosives in all the towers, causing them to fall at the rate of gravity, as imploded buildings do in Las Vegas.
But that is for another time. Read Don't Start the Revolution Without Me! by Jesse Ventura if you want to learn more about 9/11. But what happened with the Iraq War is that it was massively more expensive than the neocons had planned on. The government of the United States needed a way to finance the war and the Bush presidency. That same Alan Greenspan of the fed who had advocated securing the Iraq oil ministry, also in early 2004 advocated the use of adjustable rate mortgages. That came in the face of proof that the hangover would be disastrous. It has indeed become disastrous.
The War On Terror: Elevation of Petty Nihilists
"In waging such a "war," the enemy is to be engaged everywhere and nowhere, not just because the actual nihilists who threaten the social order are faceless and deracinated but because each fanatical suicide-bomber is only an instance of the transcendent enemy – and so the other face of us. Each terrorist is, in effect, a sacrament of the larger reality, which is "terrorism." Instead of perceiving unconnected centers of inhuman violence – tribal warlords, Mafia chieftains, nationalist fighters, xenophobic Luddites – President Bush projects the grandest and most interlocking strategies of conspiracy, belief and organization. By the canonization of the war on terrorism, petty nihilists are elevated to the status of world-historic warriors, exactly the fate they might have wished for. This is why the conflict readily bleeds from one locus to another – Afghanistan then, Iraq now, Iran or some other land of evil soon – and why, for that matter, the targeted enemies are entirely interchangeable – here Osama bin Laden, there Saddam Hussein, here the leader of Iran, there of North Korea. They are all essentially one enemy – one "axis" – despite their differences from one another, or even hatred of one another."

Viva La Vida Written When George Bush Was King. I See a Clear Double Application to the Song,
But Wait: There's More to this Sordid Legacy!
The Bush legacy must include this ponzi scheme of easy loans that caused the credit freeze. With the US government looking the other way, the investment banks, like Merrill, Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, etc, sold trash loan bonds that were falsely rated AAA throughout the entire world. This ponzi scheme is the action of a desperate government needing to pay for the illegal invasion of Iraq! It is all INTERCONNECTED.
Add to all this the truth that the neocons used the religious right even though the neocons are atheists and the Bush legacy gets even more tattered. Indeed, they are using Sarah Palin now because she believes in the false teaching of dominionism, or the taking of land by force for God. When Christ said, however, that his kingdom was NOT of this world, Palin was not listening!
But the atheistic neocons could care less about Palin's religion as long as they can use it to their own ends of world empire building and the provoking of Russia. That is the greatest threat of the neocons, World War 3! That is why the neocons are not finished, and could be reelected through Jeb Bush or Sarah Palin down the road. That must be stopped by our electorate!
It is my view that the neocons used the Jewish voter as well, as the only thing they have in common is the protection of Israel. While I support the protection of Israel (And I am adopted with a natural father who was Jewish) I cannot swallow the fascistic policy of the neocons and the Bush administration. Torture and murder are not sanctioned by Jewish law any more than by Christian ethics!
Now, if the history books are real, which is unlikely, the legacy of the Bush administration will be an incredibly corrupt, lying, torturing, and even murderous legacy! Even Pat Buchanan is so disturbed by George Bush's false actions and claims and behaviors. His is a must read article:
Buchanan says:
"Reveling in his status as an intimate of George Bush, Dick Cheney and John McCain, and America's lone democratic ally in the Caucasus, Saakashvili thought he could get away with a lightning coup and present the world with a fait accompli.
Mikheil did not reckon on the rage or resolve of the Bear.
American charges of Russian aggression ring hollow. Georgia started this fight -- Russia finished it. People who start wars don't get to decide how and when they end."

It is now the responsibility of the Democratic Controlled Congress and the Democratic President Obama who keeps Gates in that position. The Checks and Balances of three branches should be able to control any president that has deceptive actions.

The true fault goes to the shadow government and the central banking system which is private."
Again, none of these events would have been possible if it wasn't for the two party system. They have been the detriment to the public welfare, because they are corrupt, inept, run by special interest groups and they both prey on the middle class.
Since the 1970s oil shortage scam by the oil companies and sworn to by the then government, nothing was done to prevent today's hostage by the oil cartel (monopoly). Had the government really believed that we were running out of oil in the 70's, we would have had real solutions by today, if not decades ago.
That was even before the Global Warming Scam, to which Congress and the President are just giving lip service.
We have enough oil that can be recovered from within our own country to make it through a transition to alternate fuels and it woould break any oil monopoly and give jobs here, instead of in Dubai.
But presidents with balls could have stopped it. But there are no more Andrew Jacksons or Abraham Lincolns to be found.

The Bush legacy must include this ponzi scheme of easy loans that caused the credit freeze
-----
You lost any credibility blaming that on Bush.
This was started as a Clinton Democrat Congress notion.
The real cause of the condition of the US today is a result of the two dominant parties and their inability to focus on the well being of the people. I describe the problem in my hub on restructing the governnent. But it boils down that there is no cofiguration of Demcrat and Republican in Congress and the Presidency that has benefitted the people.
It takes 2 to Tango, and in the case of the Federal Government is takes 437 people and they just can't dance to the same music, which benefit the people.
The people that vote Row A or Row B are the problem that allow multiple terms for the incompetent, corrupt or just puppets of their special interest benefactors.

I am here at your request from a comment from my hub on Terrorists Rights.
I have just started reading at the top of this hub.
? Tell me how the US got any oil from invading Iraq. They bought and used millions of barrels of oil, paying as much as $3.25 a gallon for gas.
SM, I have posted all your comments but for one. That one you were saying goodbye and moving on. Now, the link I gave you has other links and proofs. If you don't want to look at those then I am sorry you don't want to see the reality of what Bush did and what caused 911 to be facilitated instead of stopped dead in its tracks.
If you don't want to post my comments that's fine. Lets me know I'm doing something right. Sir, you've given me a link to your own blog. I want facts, NOT YOUR OPINIONS! This will be the last post, so don't post it if you don't want to. I don't have time for an agenda pushing CITIZEN of America. Maybe your for giant Government, it would seem so, but most of America is not. An overwhelming 56% are against the Government.
SM, here is a link documenting the sleazy reasons for both the Iraq and Afghan wars: http://hubpages.com/hub/Is-America-a-Fascist-State
Al Qaida in Iraq is a self fulfilling prophesy. It was made possible by the invasion of Iraq by the American imperialists who wanted Iraq oil and said so on the PNAC website prior to 911. They used code words but they meant oil. Condi Rice worked for the Chevron CEO who said that he wanted Iraq oil reserves. He got some. The blood is on his hands and on the hands of Rice and the facilitators, Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld.
2 Corinthians talks about. Of course, you did not make it clear that you were speaking of scriptures from the Bible. Generally, when you speak of separation of church and state, in a political conversation, you assume one is talking about Thomas Jefferson's letter. I never said Saddam and Al Qeada were linked, even though I firmly believe they were, no facts to prove that though, however, Al Qeada is in Iraq. Which is what I said, and what has been proven. Your problem is, you don't listen, or in this case, read anything put on the table in front of you. You have a pre set line up of comebacks, regardless of rather they address the issue I'm talking about. I've seen this hundreds of times and it's typical of someone who has no factual based arguments. The simple fact that Al Qeada was in Iraq, should lead most to believe they were connected to Saddam. You are using Bush's own words to your advantage. So what is it Sir? He's telling the truth when it is convenient to your argument, but he's lying about everything else.
Sm you are so off the wall. The Al Qaida connection to Saddam was not true and Bush and Cheney both said it wasn't true. Separation of church and state was taught by Christ himself, who said that His kingdom was not of this world so his servants would not fight for him.
I suggest governments take note. But my point regarding the neocons is that they are without ethics or morals, even using religion as a way to manipulate their followers, even though they laugh at all religions. While I agree that most religion is laughable not all is.
I don't think you just said Al Qeada was a phony lie. Separation of Church and state is nothing more than a letter written by Thomas Jefferson. "The First Amendment creates a wall of separation between the church and state". It's nowhere in the Constitution, not saying you believe that, but thousands of people do, and it is defined now as a legal document to keep regulations off of religious practices. So many people say they believe in separation of church and state and have no clue what they are talking about. Again, not saying that you don't know what your talking, just stating that for the record, if you will. I must say, I don't agree with 90% of what you say, but you seem very intelligent. I enjoy "arguments" that can go on and on and not get out of hand.
I believe in separation of church and state. But neoconservatism is atheistic amoralism. The father of the neocons, Leo Strauss, had Jewish parents but was an atheistic amoralist who taught Wolfowitz that the elite lie to the masses and that it is their right to do so. Hence the WMD and the link to Al Qaida, both phony lies from the beginning.
A stimulus package is unconstitutional in itself. Most of my posts make it clear I'm against big government of any kind. What do you mean partisan views? I'm confused as to how you came to the conclusion that my views are leaned in any one direction. I'm anti-corruption. Is that solely a right or left belief? When you build an empire, people will inevitably attack you. At some point, your at war. America is an empire. So you are suggesting that "neoconservatives" are war mongering empire builders. That's not much of an insult. Besides, neo conservatism is about Nation building. I'm sure you understand the differences in a Nation and an Empire, correct? They simply believe in using economic and military power to bring democracy and human rights to other countries. Of course most neo conservatives are socialist and liberals who support trade unionism. Sounds almost identical to..Andy Stern. But we wont go to far into that one.
I am not saying that Clinton or Obama or Democrats were not involved. However, specifically, ponzi loans and an absense of underwriting and over leverage were ramped up under Bush. Yes I am concerned about the debt. The bankers should have been allowed to fold and the stimulus should have gone to the people. But that didn't happen and now we are risking USA credit rating but still must help the unemployed.
I have other hubs where I accuse Tim Geithner of being a common thief. Your partisan views really divert from the real problem, a system wide scam of big bankers and the Fed.
I would not vote for a neocon because they are war mongering empire builders. But I may stay home if Geithner and Summers are still with Obama in 2012.
And if you want to get technical, it was also allowed on the Clinton watch.
I literally said "Bush did not help". However, I'm very...VERY accurate when I said, Obama has built up more debt, faster than ANY president in the history of our country. Look it up yourself. Bush was an oil man. I don't argue that. But saying we invaded Iraq for oil is crazy. Al Qaeda was there and Afghanistan. We invaded Iraq AND Afghanistan. As far as your assumption story about taliban in Texas, again, I say prove it sir. Good posts, only if they had some facts. Don't tell me I'm not accurate. Everything I post is riddled with facts and studies. Where are your facts?
Sm, your comments are so inaccurate. The financial crisis and over leverage was allowed on the Bush watch. You are a liar if you think Obama is the fault here. I believe both Bush and Obama are in the pockets of the banksters.
But also, the Taliban went to Texas in 1997. The refusal by the Taliban to build a pipeline or allow Unocal to build it through Afghanistan was a MOTIVE for oil men to want the "new Pearl Harbor" that was mentioned on the PNAC website before 911. I suppose you think that was just a coincidence. I say it was motive for murder.
Oh yea, one more thing. Our grandchildren are at stake with the massive debt that Obama has added on to our load. Bush didnt help this at all. But Obama has risen our national debt faster than any president since 1777. Do you know what happened in 1777? lol. You dont seem to know what your talking about on this issue. I'd suggest accepting the fact that progressiveness is not the answer, and that the socialist, progressive pigs in Washington are ruining our country.
Here is a fact for you. I know you're not big on facts, seeing as how you have very little factual based information here, but anyway, here is a try. Satellite images of 2 transfer trucks traveling from Iraq, to Syria, where men, dressed as engineers dug multiple holes approximately 18 ft long 6 ft wide. Transfer trucks unloaded into these holes. 2 months later, the holes are covered by poppy fields. This all happens conveniently in time for inspectors to come into Iraq and search for weapons of mass destruction. Ponder that one in your noggin for a while.
Stendek, I certainly believe many conspiracies. I don't have time to study all of them, but certainly I have my doubts about the JFK murder. I also believe that 9/11 and the credit crisis were conspiracies. I have written about them extensively. And I know that Cronkite could have done better, but that those who have followed him are worthless.
Great job fellow truth seeker!
Please read post I put on another site:
Dan Rather told world JFK head moved forward slightly but neglected to mention violent backward motion. He was the only news person (I use term laughingly) allowed access to Abraham Zapruder film viewing because conspirators knew the TEXAN (what a surprise) would tow gov line.
Walter Cronkite was told by LBJ that he believed in conspiracy regarding JFK murder. The news anchor did not think that major announcement was important enough for unwashed masses so it was suppressed.
Would you place both these guys in category of respected and unbiased reporters? History does. People with functional brains but not unthinking sheep know the truth! It is not hard to see. All it takes is an open mind plus a bit of common sense.
Want to know about media you speak so highly of? Reporting of Viet Nam American death totals were a daily joke to guys stationed in that green Hell. Americans were told by media of a handful of deaths as body bags (with dead Americans) were being deposited by dozens at morgue! Want to know how many Americans actually died (were murdered in illegal undeclared war) in Viet Nam? Multiple the OFFICIAL American gov total by 10. That will be close!
Why do all moon alleged visitors flatly refuse to attest UNDER OATH that they went to moon? Unbalanced Buzz "Sucker Punch" Aldrin actually assaulted a private citizen when this was mentioned. Seems mighty strange. Unless, of course, these astro-nots did not actually fly to the moon after all. A stage set somewhere in the desert is not the moon.
Forgive my ramblings but you seem like an intelligent individual. Just wish more young Americans would use their brains more often! As a reporter, I recognize most gov releases are not worth the paper they are printed on or the time it takes to type them electronically.
Oh well. Peace.
Check out my hubs if you wish. Many on conspiracies!
Here is just one more link, Bob, that shows the Bush involvement in the housing meltdown. Baby steps, Bob. Baby steps: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/21/business/worldbu
I wanted to have a discussion with Bob, but his name calling got out of hand:( However, clearly the Bush administration did away with much of the regulation that allowed liar loans and shoddy underwriting to those groups of people who are not narrowly labeled subprime. The poor people underwriting was no doubt pushed by the Clinton administration, but that was with Fannie and Freddie. The Alt A and prime mess with liar and option arm loans primarily rested with the Investment banks, as Fannie and Freddie left the scene. They never were in the jumbo scene as their charter forbade it.
If you call me a fool again this conversation is over Bob. The point is that Wolfowitz said they just decided as a group on a reason to go into Iraq. WMD was the reason they settled on. And when Wolfowitz was talking about WMD he was talking about chemical and biological, not the mushroom cloud that Condi Rice used to scare the people. What a fraud. And you, Bob, are a fraud. http://www.defenselink.mil/transcripts/transcript.
Again, you make bold claims. The actions of the people of the Catholic church was never endorsed by the Catholic church. Your facts sure are one sided. You look at this entirely wrong.
Example: One site says "Catholics invaded other countries in the crusades. They were catholic, therefore it was the catholic church"
People are people. You don't look into "We the catholic church never supported the crusades, they were free to do as they wish.". THAT is your flaw. You're a fool. You see "Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction" then you do not research "Bush was given the information from the CIA and the infromation was compiled by a democrat judge". That's why you're just dumb. You're looking at the wrong facts. You're looking at the fabricated facts.
As for the Credit swaps...The only need to regulate a credit swap is in the event that the company is swapping a credit swap which was forced to be regulated in the first plac by damn fool dems. Bush tried to regulate the source of those credit swaps which failed, which still, were regulated forcibly given loand to low income owners, otherwise they would not have failed. Again, you are not focusing on the right facts and are a fool. Find the proximate cause of the problem and focus on it. When Bush tried to regulate the source of the problem with credits swaps, that would have fixed the problem. Credit swaps is a business choice and works similar to insurance. If they do it and collapse that is the company's choice. If the democrats just so "Happen" to receive the most contributions from those companies that take advantage of it, allow them the bonuses, and also keep them alive, then what does that show about the dems? You simply cannot make a comment on how this would beneift Bush. Bush does NOT get money from foreign war or oil. His income is 750,000 a year. Clinton's is 10m, Gore is equal if not higher, which is why he supports green energy in his books etc.
You're just a dumb ass through and through. If Bush (Who went to an Ivy league school) wanted to get easy money he'd be a democrat. Would you as a president go to war to win over power considering your party took power after the foolish actions of the dems in North Korea? NO. You as a republican would take power the same way the dems did if that's what you wanted. There is no philosophical reason behind being republican. THAT is what you are missing.
Why give ultimate power to a god if you're a tyrant? Give it to yourself. THAT is how it has worked in WWII, WWI, North Korea, Japan, China, Stalin days, and every single tyrant and that's how it is now working with democrats. Republicans make themselves the lesser of two evils by their motivation.
You're a dumb ass and stuck in paranoid irrational thought through and through. That's why I question your sanity. You link crazy things with republicans such as body language but not simple things with simple philosophy as to logics with geniuses.
What you neglected to note is Bush knew everyone was going to use him as a scape goat. That would cause a guilt type of posture if everyone was acussing him of being a murderer. I've been acused of being a rapist (which was a lie) and I imagine I had similar posture where I didn't know what to do, felt guilty that I was even accused and or thought of that way (the girl had never had sex with me or done anything with me) and people thought with your logics that I had to be a rapist.
You're a fool.
Texan, Popular Mechanics is owned by Rupert Murdock who employs one Bill Kristol, who cofounded PNAC. PNAC wanted a new Pearl Harbor, a surprise attack to propel us into the middle east. They got what they wanted. It isn't a coincidence that they got what they wanted, that many of their members were in power when 9/11 struck, that Marvin Bush was the man in charge of security, by that time as an "advisor", lol, that W had a meltdown, that W acted unlike a president who was just attacked as he lingered in the schoolroom, that Cheney was doing terrorist attack war games on 9/11, that Leo Strauss taught Wolfowitz as a student and believed that the elite should lie to the masses and there were no WMD.
Too many coincidences Texan. Even you aren't that naive are you? As far as the intelligence, it is unlikely that Gore would have acted on flimsy intelligence, especially knowing the Colin Powell's intelligence was crap. However you never know if the Fed is in charge.
Ok bgamall I read this hub, more conspiracy not any facts, you want someone who is a "body language" expert to look at the meltdown video? Thats what you suggested to someone who responded to this hub. How do explain Clinton having bombing raids against Iraq attacking their "Chemical and biological" plants? Or Al Gore who said in 2002 that Iraq had "Chemical and Biological weapons hidden throughout Iraq" or Nancy Pelosi saying that "Iraq has Biological and Chemical weapons, there is no question about it" Are they all in on it? Are they all "neocons?"
Someone else said that Popular Mechanics had debunked the theory of explosives in the WTC, I had actually forgotten about that! Are they in on it? You said the BBC was part of the coverup, their in on it as well? Pretty soon youre gonna run out of people who were not in on it and start talking to yourself, thats not healthy, im a little concerned for you!
Bob, I am not defending the democrats' view of religion. I am saying Christ doesn't need the government to spread the gospel of a kingdom that is not physical. That false religion has nothing to do with party, because southern Democrats blur the boundaries between church and state all the time.
As far as the Apostles preaching in public, that is quite different from the government furthering the "gospel" by their activities. When dominionists like Palin want to conquer countries for Christ that is false religion. The crusades were false religion. The church states of the Protestants such as Geneva, ruled by a religious court is false religion. The inquisitions of the Catholics was false religion. http://www.newcovenanttheology.com As far as just allowing religion rather than forcing it, the jury is out when people like Anne Coulter say this is a Christian nation. There can only be one Christian nation, and that one is not a physical nation.
As far as the banks are concerned, Greenspan and the fed, helping Bush, refused to regulate the CDO's. So did the rating agencies. Bush did nothing to stop the bubble. He wanted the bubble to pay for the waging of wars.
First: Key word: Voluntary prayer. The consitution does not allow for religion to be established by the state. That is where the confusion of seperation of church and state exists. Dems have lied to you again. My point in case is, if religion is to be practiced everywhere but in public, because that's illegal, how the hell is that freedom of religion? THAT is what I meant by the difference between a republican and a democrat. Demorats try to eliminate all religion so they can have power. Republicans say "let you have your god, wherever you so choose"
Second: Read the @#%@ bible. You are a fool. God did tell his desciples to not fight against caeser in his name. That's true, a disciple of god is never to fight. But he did tell them to specifically preach in temples which were not his temple. He told them to preach in the open. He told them to preach to people if different religions. So don't go bible on me. I've studied it daily for the last 24 years. It's not about flexing religion power. It's about allowing it. Democrats don't allow it in the open. Period. The reason is they want power. A child should be able to choose to pray at the beginning of school if he/she so chooses. Democrats are against that and have voted against VOLUNTARY prayer.
Cite the areas which were dergulated by Bush. Do it. I dare you. That comment you made is a blatant lie by democrats. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mae collapsing has everything to do with the other bank collapses. The same regulation that was put on them was put on every bank by Carter and Clinton's buds. That regulation was to give low income earners loans. How in the world do you think the collapse happened? Explain to me, please, I beg you. Cite the event and dergulation. Do you even know how business works? The only regulated markets are banks and insurance. Which two failed? Banks and insurance. Banks and insurance have always been highly regulated. Bush went to change the regulation. He did not deregulate other than in trying to stop forcing banks to give out ridiculous loans. See http://cclevel.vox.com/library/post/dems-behind-pr The loan system failed due to crud like that with Clinton fining the heck out of industries that did not give low income loans which is the direct result of the collapse. Regulation caused this crises. If you think otherwise you are a fool.
Greenspan may have told Bush to secure oil, and I believe what you are talking about is when recently we were given exclusive rights to a deal with BP (owns arco) and the dems blocked that too. Arco happens to be the cheapest gas by the way. So...You're naming what people said...Not true voted on events...No citations of what act was regulated...You don't even know that the bank regulations in 2005 while targeted at fannie mae and freddie mac they were to stop the regulations forcing low income loans...You don't know what you're talking about...You don't believe in freedom of religion..You twisted my words to make it sound like I was saying republicans force religion in the open rather than realizing I meant they allow it while democrats try to destroy it entirely...
What do you know? Where are your facts?
First of all Bob, the Bible teaches separation of church and state when Christ said his kingdom was not of this world and his servants would not physically fight for him. He told Peter to put away the sword. So, any fusion of church state that the Republican right wants is false religion. Second, the Republicans have not exactly been a paragon of family values. In fact they are in the lead as far as corruption is concerned, especially marital infidelity and perverse behavior. Both parties have that problem, but the Dems don't claim to be perfect, just the Republicans.
Again, the subprime crisis, which Paulson thought was contained, was in large part issued in by Democrats and Phil Gramm, a Republican. But the bigger Alt A meltdown yet to come, the commercial meltdown still to come, and the credit card debacle had nothing to do with Fannie and Freddie. They had to do with the investment banks. And Greenspan said two things. He told Bush to secure the oil ministry because the Iraq War was about petrodollars, and he told Americans to buy adjustable mortgages. Those are verifiable. The Iraq War was a monetary war and it was pushed by the Federal Reserve, a private bank. Bush was carrying out orders.
You are nuts Bob if you think that regulation cause the economic meltdown. Deregulation and leverage brought capitalism down. No regular guy wants to be in the stock market because we know it is manipulated and we know that the big boys are leveraging this thing up again. We no longer want to be suckers in a game controlled by the big banks. Class warfare has broken out Bob, but from the top down this time.
The banks still have their off balance sheet toxic debt that was allowed at Basel 2 in 1998. Again the lesser of two evils is still evil. The Dems bailed out these scamming banks. But the alternative is the provoking of Russia and you neocons haven't learned a thing about how dangerous that really is.
The lesser of two evils?
Everything you just listed was not Bush's fault. It was the Dems and you openly admitted it.
Are you clearly that nuts?. "Bush's Watch"??
He does NOT control their votes. His "watch" THEIR "actions" which he cannot control. That's called "Democracy". Bush tried in 2005 to make the change. That's his watch. Democrats blocked it in a party line vote. That's THEIR legacy. The act was started by Mc Cain. It was blocked by every single current liberal. They forced the collapse and pinned it on the republicans. Their popularity was the lowest of any congress and they pinned it on Bush. Look it up. The popularity of the congress dropped with democrats in majority, then it doubled when they pinned everything on Bush.
The liberals are NOT the lesser of two evils.
They lied about Iraq. They appointed the same general and claimed they "changed" something. Obama's latest announcement is that we would be there at least another 36 months.
They lied about the economy, and did for a fact cause the current collapse. Then what did they do? They blamed it on deregulation without a single citation as to which area was dergulated. That is a way of taking power by having the cattle say "regulate me!!!" They claim that home loaners were preditory to low income earners. That was their EXACT wording to the problem.
Who signed off on forcing the banks to give the loans? Who told the companies to do it? DEMS. What did they do after the credit collapse? Obama recently signed yet another REGULATION in order to FORCE banks to give out loans to low income earners. WHY? His wording was something to the extent of "Maybe if that family can take out a loan to get a computer, then that owner can put out a loan for his truck, and that business guy can etc.etc.". He's doing the same thing that caused the crises.
8 years of failed policies never changed under Bush, you're exactly right. You know why? The dems refused. They wanted to make everyone think the free trade market was evil. They want to make you think that regulations on how to think are ok (if you punch a guy you punch a guy, it's always a hate crime, you should be punished for the crime not the thought) and regulate how you act (no VOLUNTARY prayer allowed in schools seems like a load of #%@ to me).
Do you know why they eliminate god? Do you know the true difference between your average repbulican and a democrat in office?
If there is a god, god has ultimate power over the nation.
If there is no god, the person has ultimate power over the nation.
Democrats know this, so they fight to eliminate any deities before themselves.
Bob I am far from insane regarding the neocons. Pat Buchanan has written forcefully against the neocons. He is a true conservative. The neocons are far closer to insanity than I am.
I will admit that the subprime crisis was pushed by democrats and republicans, but the prime and alt a debacle that will plunge us into deflation happened under Bush's watch. The enhanced leverage of the investment banks happened under Bush's watch. Of course you had Democrats involved, like Robert Rubin. That man is a fraud. I am not letting Dems of the hook, they are just the lesser of two evils. If you read this http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Fascist-Government-Wil you will see that I am totally opposed to bank bailouts when the banks themselves killed the consumer.
P.S.
The fall out of the banks is factually the democrats fault, which shows that youre facts are predjudiced with hate towards republicans considering your comment on Bush regarding the regulation of banks.
I cannot stress enough. Look it up, it's even on video with Al Franken and other dems insulting the republicans for having the "audacity" to question the practices of the people in the loan industry. You're wrong. It's simple as that. The democrats party line blocked it (as in all of them blocked it from being passed which can be done provided republicans don't have over a 2/3rd's majority which they didn't). And guess who receives the most contributions from Fannie Mae Freddie Mac? The democrat party.
So if you're obviously biased and wrong about the loan regulations, and are shouting "neo con" like crazy I submit that you are in fact very mislead and or insane.
The reason all this is bogus is that the plan for the invasion of Iraq was hatched by PNAC in the 1990's. Those PNAC individuals, like Cheney and Rove dominated key positions in the admin. His primary advisor, Condi Rice, was a director of Chevron who's CEO had indicated a desire for Iraq reserves in 1998.
Jeb Bush was a member of PNAC as well and he was the president's brother. So you can argue till you are blue in the face, but the plan was to carry out the neocon desire for full control of the middle east and eventually the world through provocation of Russia.
See http://www.opinioneditorials.com/guestcontributors for the truth and how Bush did not lie about the weapons of mass destruction.
He was the president, everyone reviewed the CIA and other foreign intelligence documents and made an independant decision.
None of the information was his to present. The agencies presented. That’s it, that’s all. Argue otherwise and you are either paranoid or just don’t know how things work.
You can’t fabricate stuff like that. Name facts that democrats have about Bush lying…They don’t have any. They make claims on what he says…Look up Bush’s original speech on Iraq. He clearly stated the war was not complete until the citizens were free.
The war with Iraq was the best war we’ve ever had. 5,000 deaths, the country is being rebuilt, and we’re doing well. No country has been rebuilt by us successfully with that little amount of deaths. Compare something to Iraq, I dare you. Nothing comes close. You can compare deaths independantly…But that’s just bs because no country is comparable with what we’ve done and no country has been rebuilt with that little amount of deaths. Those cannot be attributed as war crimes.
You can compare the national debt. Look into the total for the war of Iraq. http://www.ask.com/bar?q=Iraq+War+Total+Cost+2009& 657.3 billion in Iraq since 2001. That’s 82 billion a year. Our national debt is over a trillion. It’s not the main factor in our debt so it’s an unfounded unresearched and manipulative comment to act like a democrat and just use a concept like “The economy was worsened by a multiple front war because of Bush”. It was mainly worsened by housing loans due to democrats. If you’re going to weigh one factor of 82 billion, you have to weigh the larger effect from the loans which Carter started and Clinton reinforced, then the democrats partyline blocked any changes by president Bush to change it in 2005 which McCain supported and started by the way. Look into bank regulations, 2005. Obama fully supports the afghan war, and has stated we need to focus on it. So when we compare war cost numbers, we can’t use those numbers.
The bank full out was not a republican thing. In 2005 (look it up on youtube) every republican was talking about the filth which was fannie mae and freddie mac and the democrats insulted the republicans for it and defended fannie mae and freddie macand blocked the regulations in a UNANIMOUS PARTLY LINE VOTE.
Wake up...Bush was a great president. That's why the democrats tear at him.
True Nicomp. But that is the plan of the elite, to give us free speech while doing exactly what they want to do. Indeed, the Leo Strauss neocon model is to honor the shell of democracy while lying to the public and doing what you want if you are of the elite. That belief drove the Bush administration in both the banking scam and the 9/11 and Iraq scam.
Free speech is a wonderful thing
Yes it does show. There has been some trouble with videos but it is showing now. If you wanted to you could always have gone to youtube if you had the intellectual honesty you claim to have, and viewed it there. But it is working now. I urge you to watch it. You can learn something about a murderer who you love.
Popular Mechanics is owned by the same Rupert Murdoch who was part of the coverup. So it isn't scientific, it is propaganda. Rupert Murdoch owns Fox News and loved the neocons until they ruined his advertising revenue.
As far as the towers falling at the rate of gravity, it is a proven fact. That cannot and never has happened with fire alone. If fire was so hot at the top of the towers why was that woman photographed looking out of the building on one of the top floors before the building exploded and she died? It wasn't heat. It was explosives strategically placed by Marvin Bush into the building.
I guess you never heard of PNAC, the folks who wanted the Pearl Harbor type event on their website for years. One full year before 9/11 it was posted. It happened just as they wanted. And they lied about WMD and went into Iraq for the oil. Even that general said it was about the oil. And Wolfowitz was telling the Europeans that Iraq was swimming in a sea of oil. So, unless you are good at putting together a third grade puzzle I guess this is over your head.
The article is not useless. But your response is. You can go to your grave being fooled but it will all be revealed.
Sorry, but the Bush meltdown tape does not display in your article. Maybe there is a conspiracy which is unlinking the tape!!!
As usual, those who disagree with these loony theories lack intelligense, or like Popular Mechanic when they Debunked the 9/11 Myths, they must be a part of the conspiracy. http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/militar On the Background page, http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/defense/12 , comment 48 exposed the CT people:
48. RE: The 9/11 Lies Are Out There: Editor's NotesThe few dedicated conspiracy theorists I have known personally have left me with a bad impression of them. CTs are not interested in any noble search for truth. Nor are they intent on exposing conspiracies. All their theorizing and supposedly irrefutable evidence is not worth a single indictment anywhere on this planet, it has never obtained to one, and never will. For all practical intents and purposes they and their ideas are useless where 9-11 is the matter under consideration. What most CTs seem to want is some kind of psychological / emotional charge from trying to manipulate facts of events that are so much larger than themselves. It gives them a sense of vicarious participation in those events, and in the lives of their betters. It provides them with a feeling of power over events over which in reality they have no power at all. The CTs I have met and gotten to know have low levels of education. One is ignorant, vulgar, and coarse, and he believes only such information that comes from conspiracy web sites. He is certifiably crazy. Conspiracy theorists are a disgrace to their countries, their states, their communities, their families, to themselves, and to those who were killed and injured on September 11, 2001. That their ideas have such wide currency does not speak well for humanity.
Caught ya!
Why don't you write your useless articles under a category of Conspiracy Theories, so we know not to waste our time reading them. I am in the pursuit of Truth - don't get in It's way!!!
Websense, you make no sense. Look at the tape of the Bush meltdown and take it to a body language expert and I guarantee you that they will say he is having a guilt meltdown.
Also, if you had the intellectualy capacity to grasp this, the towers fell at the rate of gravity. No tower in history has ever done so with fire only. And yet the NIST said THREE towers fell this way on the same day, including one that was not hit by any plane.
You insult your own intelligence.
And while I am at it websense, the issue is the international bankers versus the middle class, not Democrat Versus Republican.
With Obama we still are fighting a war for a pipeline in Afghanistan, althoug I applaud his desire to make peace with Russia. The neocons want WW3. I don't.
WOW, maybe you shouldn't get too much of your 'factual' information from conspiracy theory websites. Anyone, EVERYONE, who seeks only for 'facts' to confirm their deluded imagination has NEVER really tried to SEEK after TRUTH. You make as much sense as the obnoxious Rush Limbaugh - a lot of hot air, and more hot air, and maybe a fart or two for entertainment value.
I have found the hardest thing about writing about Politics, Religion, Medical Science & Health, and etc. is all the false, twisted, spinned, distorted 'facts' to wade thru and hope that eventually I find a few grains of real FACTS to use - not to confirm my own belief, but to distill out what really is True.
I don't like a lot of things about Bush too, but President Obama and his comrades are leading us - by ramming bad legislation thru Congress - by making good use of a Crisis! Obama has proved how deceptive he is, and how he can lie to Congress, "There are no earmarks", when there were about 8500 earmarks in the Omnibus Bill. And yet, the Obamabots will say, "I BELIEVE HIM". There is a non-partisan Citizen Revolt coming, and WE will trample over your idiotic conspiracy theory nonsense and hopefully bring the Obamabots back to normalcy.
With Free Speech there is Required Responsibility.
The thing about Bush is that he had a conscience unlike the big boys he was playing with. He paid a heavy price for his guilt. Of course I believe that guilt is not a means to true religion. Guilt is a condemnation and is an undoing of the soul. Bush was evil and he holds the lies with him about his murders.
Excellent Hub!! So I take it you're NOT a Bush fan? hahaheehee! Me neither. Good writing. We need more watch dogs like you.
I agree, but as Voltaire has said, if the crime is big enough it goes unpunished, at least in this life.
Speaking of George W. Bush:
George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).
George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.
And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.
Many people know what Bush did.
And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.
Bush was absolute evil.
Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.
Bush is a psychological prisoner.
Bush has a lot to worry about.
Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.
In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

“GEORGE W. BUSH IS THE WORST PRESIDENT IN U.S. HISTORY” BLOG OF ANDREW YU-JEN WANG______________________I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it is a linguistically excellent statement, and it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memories so they never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think the quotation came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.
W does indeed stand for Worst.
Hi Bgamall, You and I definitely share a low opinion of president #43. I also believe 9/11 was in some measure (possibly some large measure) perpetrated by Bush and company.
It's true that some events and trends are/were in place or in the making when Bush took over. There is always spillover from the previous administration. But Bush inherited a legacy from Clinton that was a damned site better than what he's left to Obama and the rest of us. Those who say "W" stands for "Worst" are oh so right. Thanks for the hub!
True moneyguy. But no one pushed the envelope quite as far into explicit fascism like Bush2.

Yes, the neocons do still have influence in the Obama administration. And they have that with the blessing of a corrupt two party system, agreed. Sometimes I think we allow foreign oil imports in order to influence world events, and middle east events. That is why we don't drill. I am not for drilling in certain areas, but clearly, we have enough oil shale to keep foreign oil out. I think it is US policy to keep getting that oil, which impoverishes the nation.
Again, as far as the two party system goes, even in governments that have coalitions, like European governments are even deeper in debt to the central banks than we are. It seems that democracy is a shell, which of course, Leo Strauss said it was as he taught how to manipulate around it by advocating lying to the masses. One of his prize pupils was Paul Wolfowitz, architect of the Iraq War and fake WMD's.
