George Bush's Terrible Legacy

Never has a president of the United States been engaged in as many outright, verifiable lies that have taken down our country in economic power, prestige, honor, and morality as the younger George Bush. So many people do not understand that George Bush was a part of the neocon takeover of the Republican Party.

Even conservatives such as Pat Buchanan have called the neocons the war party because of 1. their invasion of Iraq for oil, and 2. for their provocation of the only other super power, Russia. Clearly Russia was provoked by Georgia the nation. Clearly there were signals from neocons in the US government that this attack on ethnic Russians in the breakaway provinces in Georgia was a correct course of action. Even though innocent people on their own land were killed, Georgia remained defiant.

The real issue regarding what has already occured in our direct influence is the invasion of Iraq. The neocon party, within the Republican Party, determined to enter the middle east prior to the election of George Bush. This intervention was established through the lies of nukes and WMD in Iraq under Saddam, and through the lie of a Saddam/Al Qaida connection. The problem with this was that these have been proven to be false, with Bush admitting as much!

And the neocon desire to go into Iraq was made possible by the lies of Mr. Bush. Paul Wolfowitz, who was the architect of the Iraq War fostered the lies for Mr. Bush. While he fostered the lies, Wolfowitz was talking in Europe about Iraq swimming on a sea of oil! Wolfowitz said that it was a bureaucratic decision to decide to use the reason of WMD as the reason for going into Iraq.Indeed, Wolfowitz believed that the policy of the United States should be to let the elite lie to the masses.

Leo Strauss, the Evil Guru of Neoconservative thought


This elite lying to the masses dogma was based upon the philosophy of Leo Strauss, who taught that you respect the shell of democracy but lie to the masses. Wolfowitz was a student of this amoral monster at the University of Chicago. I believe in separation of church and state but that leaders should be moral, and not out of touch with any concept of right and wrong. The neocons were empire building with no heed to whether what they were doing was right or whether it was wrong.

Another follower of Strauss was Irving Kristol, father of William Kristol of Fox News. William Kristol, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Wolfowitz, Jeb Bush and so many other neocons formed a group called the Project for the New American Century, or PNAC. They sought the invasion of the middle east PRIOR to the election of George Bush! They wanted the oil for our oil companies and for the British oil companies who trade in the United States. Bush voided the original oil contracts soon after the invasion and gave many lucrative reserves to our oil companies. Even Greenspan of the fed counseled Bush to secure the oil ministry first thing.


The Diabolical Plan of 911


In order to move the American people to support the war in the middle east, PNAC called for a PEARL HARBOR like event, in writing, in 2000. My personal opinion is that PNAC people facilitated 9/11, and did much more than just pine for the "event". I believe that there were explosives in all the towers, causing them to fall at the rate of gravity, as imploded buildings do in Las Vegas.

But that is for another time. Read Don't Start the Revolution Without Me! by Jesse Ventura if you want to learn more about 9/11. But what happened with the Iraq War is that it was massively more expensive than the neocons had planned on. The government of the United States needed a way to finance the war and the Bush presidency. That same Alan Greenspan of the fed who had advocated securing the Iraq oil ministry, also in early 2004 advocated the use of adjustable rate mortgages. That came in the face of proof that the hangover would be disastrous. It has indeed become disastrous.

The Bush legacy must include this ponzi scheme of easy loans that caused the credit freeze. With the US government looking the other way, the investment banks, like Merrill, Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, etc, sold trash loan bonds that were falsely rated AAA throughout the entire world. This ponzi scheme is the action of a desperate government needing to pay for the illegal invasion of Iraq! It is all INTERCONNECTED.

Add to all this the truth that the neocons used the religious right even though the neocons are atheists and the Bush legacy gets even more tattered. Indeed, they are using Sarah Palin now because she believes in the false teaching of dominionism, or the taking of land by force for God. When Christ said, however, that his kingdom was NOT of this world, Palin was not listening!

But the atheistic neocons could care less about Palin's religion as long as they can use it to their own ends of world empire building and the provoking of Russia. That is the greatest threat of the neocons, World War 3! That is why the neocons are not finished, and could be reelected through Jeb Bush or Sarah Palin down the road. That must be stopped by our electorate!

It is my view that the neocons used the Jewish voter as well, as the only thing they have in common is the protection of Israel. While I support the protection of Israel (And I am adopted with a natural father who was Jewish) I cannot swallow the fascistic policy of the neocons and the Bush administration. Torture and murder are not sanctioned by Jewish law any more than by Christian ethics!

Now, if the history books are real, which is unlikely, the legacy of the Bush administration will be an incredibly corrupt, lying, torturing, and even murderous legacy! Even Pat Buchanan is so disturbed by George Bush's false actions and claims and behaviors. His is a must read article:

Yes, the neocons do still have influence in the Obama administration. And they have that with the blessing of a corrupt two party system, agreed. Sometimes I think we allow foreign oil imports in order to influence world events, and middle east events. That is why we don't drill. I am not for drilling in certain areas, but clearly, we have enough oil shale to keep foreign oil out. I think it is US policy to keep getting that oil, which impoverishes the nation.

Again, as far as the two party system goes, even in governments that have coalitions, like European governments are even deeper in debt to the central banks than we are. It seems that democracy is a shell, which of course, Leo Strauss said it was as he taught how to manipulate around it by advocating lying to the masses. One of his prize pupils was Paul Wolfowitz, architect of the Iraq War and fake WMD's.

It is now the responsibility of the Democratic Controlled Congress and the Democratic President Obama who keeps Gates in that position. The Checks and Balances of three branches should be able to control any president that has deceptive actions.

Again, none of these events would have been possible if it wasn't for the two party system. They have been the detriment to the public welfare, because they are corrupt, inept, run by special interest groups and they both prey on the middle class.

Since the 1970s oil shortage scam by the oil companies and sworn to by the then government, nothing was done to prevent today's hostage by the oil cartel (monopoly). Had the government really believed that we were running out of oil in the 70's, we would have had real solutions by today, if not decades ago.

That was even before the Global Warming Scam, to which Congress and the President are just giving lip service.

We have enough oil that can be recovered from within our own country to make it through a transition to alternate fuels and it woould break any oil monopoly and give jobs here, instead of in Dubai.

But presidents with balls could have stopped it. But there are no more Andrew Jacksons or Abraham Lincolns to be found.

You lost any credibility blaming that on Bush.

This was started as a Clinton Democrat Congress notion.

The real cause of the condition of the US today is a result of the two dominant parties and their inability to focus on the well being of the people. I describe the problem in my hub on restructing the governnent. But it boils down that there is no cofiguration of Demcrat and Republican in Congress and the Presidency that has benefitted the people.

It takes 2 to Tango, and in the case of the Federal Government is takes 437 people and they just can't dance to the same music, which benefit the people.

The people that vote Row A or Row B are the problem that allow multiple terms for the incompetent, corrupt or just puppets of their special interest benefactors.

Sm you are so off the wall. The Al Qaida connection to Saddam was not true and Bush and Cheney both said it wasn't true. Separation of church and state was taught by Christ himself, who said that His kingdom was not of this world so his servants would not fight for him.

I suggest governments take note. But my point regarding the neocons is that they are without ethics or morals, even using religion as a way to manipulate their followers, even though they laugh at all religions. While I agree that most religion is laughable not all is.

"The First Amendment creates a wall of separation between the church and state". It's nowhere in the Constitution, not saying you believe that, but thousands of people do, and it is defined now as a legal document to keep regulations off of religious practices. So many people say they believe in separation of church and state and have no clue what they are talking about. Again, not saying that you don't know what your talking, just stating that for the record, if you will. I must say, I don't agree with 90% of what you say, but you seem very intelligent. I enjoy "arguments" that can go on and on and not get out of hand.

I am not saying that Clinton or Obama or Democrats were not involved. However, specifically, ponzi loans and an absense of underwriting and over leverage were ramped up under Bush. Yes I am concerned about the debt. The bankers should have been allowed to fold and the stimulus should have gone to the people. But that didn't happen and now we are risking USA credit rating but still must help the unemployed.

I have other hubs where I accuse Tim Geithner of being a common thief. Your partisan views really divert from the real problem, a system wide scam of big bankers and the Fed.

I would not vote for a neocon because they are war mongering empire builders. But I may stay home if Geithner and Summers are still with Obama in 2012.

Sm, your comments are so inaccurate. The financial crisis and over leverage was allowed on the Bush watch. You are a liar if you think Obama is the fault here. I believe both Bush and Obama are in the pockets of the banksters.

But also, the Taliban went to Texas in 1997. The refusal by the Taliban to build a pipeline or allow Unocal to build it through Afghanistan was a MOTIVE for oil men to want the "new Pearl Harbor" that was mentioned on the PNAC website before 911. I suppose you think that was just a coincidence. I say it was motive for murder.

Satellite images of 2 transfer trucks traveling from Iraq, to Syria, where men, dressed as engineers dug multiple holes approximately 18 ft long 6 ft wide. Transfer trucks unloaded into these holes. 2 months later, the holes are covered by poppy fields. This all happens conveniently in time for inspectors to come into Iraq and search for weapons of mass destruction. Ponder that one in your noggin for a while.

I also believe that 9/11 and the credit crisis were conspiracies. I have written about them extensively. And I know that Cronkite could have done better, but that those who have followed him are worthless.

Want to know about media you speak so highly of? Reporting of Viet Nam American death totals were a daily joke to guys stationed in that green Hell. Americans were told by media of a handful of deaths as body bags (with dead Americans) were being deposited by dozens at morgue! Want to know how many Americans actually died (were murdered in illegal undeclared war) in Viet Nam? Multiple the OFFICIAL American gov total by 10. That will be close!

Why do all moon alleged visitors flatly refuse to attest UNDER OATH that they went to moon? Unbalanced Buzz "Sucker Punch" Aldrin actually assaulted a private citizen when this was mentioned. Seems mighty strange. Unless, of course, these astro-nots did not actually fly to the moon after all. A stage set somewhere in the desert is not the moon.

Forgive my ramblings but you seem like an intelligent individual. Just wish more young Americans would use their brains more often! As a reporter, I recognize most gov releases are not worth the paper they are printed on or the time it takes to type them electronically.

I wanted to have a discussion with Bob, but his name calling got out of hand:( However, clearly the Bush administration did away with much of the regulation that allowed liar loans and shoddy underwriting to those groups of people who are not narrowly labeled subprime. The poor people underwriting was no doubt pushed by the Clinton administration, but that was with Fannie and Freddie. The Alt A and prime mess with liar and option arm loans primarily rested with the Investment banks, as Fannie and Freddie left the scene. They never were in the jumbo scene as their charter forbade it.

As for the Credit swaps...The only need to regulate a credit swap is in the event that the company is swapping a credit swap which was forced to be regulated in the first plac by damn fool dems. Bush tried to regulate the source of those credit swaps which failed, which still, were regulated forcibly given loand to low income owners, otherwise they would not have failed. Again, you are not focusing on the right facts and are a fool. Find the proximate cause of the problem and focus on it. When Bush tried to regulate the source of the problem with credits swaps, that would have fixed the problem. Credit swaps is a business choice and works similar to insurance. If they do it and collapse that is the company's choice. Clinton's is 10m, Gore is equal if not higher, which is why he supports green energy in his books etc.

Thats what you suggested to someone who responded to this hub. How do explain Clinton having bombing raids against Iraq attacking their "Chemical and biological" plants? Or Al Gore who said in 2002 that Iraq had "Chemical and Biological weapons hidden throughout Iraq" or Nancy Pelosi saying that "Iraq has Biological and Chemical weapons, there is no question about it" Are they all in on it? First of all Bob, the Bible teaches separation of church and state when Christ said his kingdom was not of this world and his servants would not physically fight for him. He told Peter to put away the sword. So, any fusion of church state that the Republican right wants is false religion. Second, the Republicans have not exactly been a paragon of family values. In fact they are in the lead as far as corruption is concerned, especially marital infidelity and perverse behavior. Both parties have that problem, but the Dems don't claim to be perfect, just the Republicans.

Again, the subprime crisis, which Paulson thought was contained, was in large part issued in by Democrats and Phil Gramm, a Republican. But the bigger Alt A meltdown yet to come, the commercial meltdown still to come, and the credit card debacle had nothing to do with Fannie and Freddie. They had to do with the investment banks. And Greenspan said two things. He told Bush to secure the oil ministry because the Iraq War was about petrodollars, and he told Americans to buy adjustable mortgages. Those are verifiable. The Iraq War was a monetary war and it was pushed by the Federal Reserve, a private bank. Bush was carrying out orders.

You are nuts Bob if you think that regulation cause the economic meltdown. Deregulation and leverage brought capitalism down. No regular guy wants to be in the stock market because we know it is manipulated and we know that the big boys are leveraging this thing up again. We no longer want to be suckers in a game controlled by the big banks. Class warfare has broken out Bob, but from the top down this time.

The banks still have their off balance sheet toxic debt that was allowed at Basel 2 in 1998. Again the lesser of two evils is still evil. The Dems bailed out these scamming banks. Who signed off on forcing the banks to give the loans? Who told the companies to do it? DEMS. What did they do after the credit collapse? Obama recently signed yet another REGULATION in order to FORCE banks to give out loans to low income earners. WHY? His wording was something to the extent of "Maybe if that family can take out a loan to get a computer, then that owner can put out a loan for his truck, and that business guy can etc.etc.". He's doing the same thing that caused the crises.

8 years of failed policies never changed under Bush, you're exactly right. You know why? The dems refused. They wanted to make everyone think the free trade market was evil. They want to make you think that regulations on how to think are ok (if you punch a guy you punch a guy, it's always a hate crime, you should be punished for the crime not the thought) and regulate how you act (no VOLUNTARY prayer allowed in schools seems like a load of #%@ to me).

Do you know why they eliminate god? Do you know the true difference between your average repbulican and a democrat in office?

The reason all this is bogus is that the plan for the invasion of Iraq was hatched by PNAC in the 1990's. Those PNAC individuals, like Cheney and Rove dominated key positions in the admin. His primary advisor, Condi Rice, was a director of Chevron who's CEO had indicated a desire for Iraq reserves in 1998.

Jeb Bush was a member of PNAC as well and he was the president's brother. So you can argue till you are blue in the face, but the plan was to carry out the neocon desire for full control of the middle east and eventually the world through provocation of Russia.

It was mainly worsened by housing loans due to democrats. If you’re going to weigh one factor of 82 billion, you have to weigh the larger effect from the loans which Carter started and Clinton reinforced, then the democrats partyline blocked any changes by president Bush to change it in 2005 which McCain supported and started by the way. Look into bank regulations, 2005. Obama fully supports the afghan war, and has stated we need to focus on it. So when we compare war cost numbers, we can’t use those numbers.

The bank full out was not a republican thing. In 2005 (look it up on youtube) every republican was talking about the filth which was fannie mae and freddie mac and the democrats insulted the republicans for it and defended fannie mae and freddie macand blocked the regulations in a UNANIMOUS PARTLY LINE VOTE.

Wake up...Bush was a great president. That's why the democrats tear at him.

As far as the towers falling at the rate of gravity, it is a proven fact. That cannot and never has happened with fire alone. If fire was so hot at the top of the towers why was that woman photographed looking out of the building on one of the top floors before the building exploded and she died? It wasn't heat. It was explosives strategically placed by Marvin Bush into the building.

I guess you never heard of PNAC, the folks who wanted the Pearl Harbor type  event on their website for years. One full year before 9/11 it was posted. It happened just as they wanted. And they lied about WMD and went into Iraq for the oil. Even that general said it was about the oil. And Wolfowitz was telling the Europeans that Iraq was swimming in a sea of oil. So, unless you are good at putting together a third grade puzzle I guess this is over your head.

Anyone, EVERYONE, who seeks only for 'facts' to confirm their deluded imagination has NEVER really tried to SEEK after TRUTH. Hi Bgamall, You and I definitely share a low opinion of president #43. I also believe 9/11 was in some measure (possibly some large measure) perpetrated by Bush and company.

It's true that some events and trends are/were in place or in the making when Bush took over. There is always spillover from the previous administration.
