George Michael - Commando Time
George Michael gave the small crowd more than they bargained for at the San Diego Sports Arena with an interesting kickoff to his multi-city "25 Live" Tour. It was the first US concert in 17 years for the Wham frontman. It's hard to believe that much time has passed since his last tour in the States. Perhaps, that's why good ol' George felt the urge to go commando and shake what his momma gave him and then some. Word is that fans close to the stage received an unforgettable thrill. Ya think?
Considering I was once a fan of the 80's duo, I'm a tad bit envious that I didn't get to witness this incident myself. I would have went to the concert just to be stunned by some George Michael commando action, trust me. Then again, my fascination was more with Andrew Ridegley, but George still made my sacred regions tingle back in the day.
Hey, I'm not too proud to admit that I once wanted to marry the guy-especially after seeing the music video for "I Want Your Sex". Let's be honest here a minute. I'm sure other teenagers suffering from similar hormone overload were getting twitterpated by George back then too. It was straight hotness even the bearded wonder's cheesy 80's dance in the video. But, excuse me a second while I replay the intro of the "Faith" video in my mind.
Although the concept behind that particular video was pretty lame, the camera panning up to reveal his tight Levis jean wearing ass always got my attention. I didn't mind sitting through three minutes of the man and his guitar dancing around looking like an idiot. You could bounce a cheeseburger off that rear. But, unfortunately, he was wearing chonies in that video because I remember the undie line and wondering why someone didn't tell him to pull out the wedgie before the camera shot. Uh oh...light bulb...perhaps, this is the answer to the recent commando excitement.
Anyway, after the news flash about his notorious Beverly Hills bathroom incident and drug conviction, Naughty Georgie obviously still has it going on and knows it. Aside from going balls out, so to speak, at the opener of his presumed ‘final' tour, the Greek god put on an amazing performance. Honestly, I doubt this is his last tour; artists always say that. Isn't that how they keep us on the edge of our seats and wanting more?
But, one thing is for sure, if there was to be a reunion tour ever in the works, I'd be there rushing to the ticket counter with my windbreaker bangs, Choose Life shirt and pegged pants. Dang, I miss the 80s!
